Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction debris and lumber

Special rules apply

Construction debris and lumber are on the city's non-acceptable list, and the same list carries the city's note that construction debris pickups normally run during the first week of each month. Concrete and asphalt are non-acceptable, and the city does not pick up trees cut by a contractor or by anyone paid to remove trees. Keep the load out of the weekly pile and confirm it with Public Works.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no price for its monthly construction debris pickup and does not say how the weekly overage schedule applies to that material, so call Daphne Public Works at 251-620-2100 to confirm the load, the set out and any charge first.
When & how
Construction debris runs on the city's own pickup, which the city says is normally during the first week of each month, and the county's Magnolia Landfill also accepts construction and demolition debris during its open hours.
Get it ready
Keep concrete, asphalt, glass and porcelain out, because all four are on the city's non-acceptable list, and keep paint, oil and batteries out as well. If a contractor generated the material, settle who removes it before the work starts.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

The cart and the debris pile follow separate placement rules

Garbage goes in a city issued 64 or 96 gallon semi automated cart, bagged first with the lid closed, placed at the curb within six feet of the street no later than midnight before your collection day and no more than 24 hours early, and brought back in within 12 hours after collection. Carts stay at least four feet apart and out of the street, ditches, storm drains and gutters. Trash and yard debris goes in front of your own property rather than a vacant lot or a right of way, and when both collections fall on the same day the materials go in separate areas of the curbside.

One allowance a week, and the overage is charged

Each household may set out 15 cubic feet of trash and yard debris a week, and the city charges on a published overage schedule that starts at a base charge and rises with the volume above it. That allowance is part of the residential garbage service the household already pays for each month. The city's acceptable examples are appliances, bicycles, fire wood, furniture and yard debris, and its non-acceptable list covers a long run of material the trucks will not take.

The material that stays out of the pile

Asphalt, batteries, concrete, gas, medical waste, oil, paint, televisions, tires, styrofoam, glass or porcelain, and construction debris or lumber outside the monthly pickup are all on the city's non-acceptable list. The city's guidance is that material it does not accept is the resident's responsibility, and it points gasoline, household chemical, pool chemical and insecticide questions to the county landfill number it publishes. Electronics have their own county drop off instead, where the authority charges a handling fee for each unit.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Daphne's own routes are the cart and the curb: garbage in a city issued cart, and trash and yard debris in a pile in front of your own property on the service day, with a weekly household allowance and an overage charge above it. Material the city refuses is the resident's responsibility under the city's own guidance. The published county routes are the hard-to-recycle centers in Summerdale, Fairhope and Gulf Shores, which take electronics at a handling fee for each unit along with paint, household chemicals, car batteries and tanks, and the Magnolia Landfill in Summerdale, which accepts household garbage, construction and demolition debris, yard waste, furniture and bulky waste items and tires. The authority publishes no price for the landfill and charges set fees at the centers, and its bulky pickup program does not serve addresses inside city limits, so an item the city will not take is either hauled out by the resident or removed by a private service. County landfill for bulky items, furniture, construction debris, yard waste and tires

Magnolia Landfill

15480 Terra Bella Drive, Summerdale, AL 36580

Household garbage, commercial waste, construction and demolition debris, yard waste including tree limbs and stumps, furniture and bulky waste items, tires, and approved special waste material. It is the county's only municipal solid waste landfill, permit 02-03.

The county authority publishes no price for a resident load and does not list household chemicals, paint or oil among the accepted materials, so confirm the item and any fee at 251-972-6878 before hauling material the city refused. The city lists this landfill at a different street address on its own page, so use the phone number to confirm the entrance before driving out.

Monday to Friday 7 AM to 4 PM and Saturday 7 AM to noon.

Neither the county authority nor the city publishes a tipping price for a resident load, so call 251-972-6878 to confirm the fee and the gate process before hauling anything the city would not collect.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Daphne.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Daphne?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Daphne?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

When does Daphne collect construction debris?

The city notes on its non-acceptable list that construction debris pickups normally run during the first week of each month, so a renovation pile is not part of the ordinary weekly set out. Concrete, asphalt, glass and porcelain, paint, oil, batteries and televisions are not accepted, so confirm the load with Public Works at 251-620-2100 first.Official guidance

What will Daphne not take in the trash pile?

The city's non-acceptable list names asphalt, batteries, concrete, construction debris and lumber outside the monthly pickup, gasoline, medical waste, oil, paint, televisions, tires, styrofoam and glass or porcelain. Material the city does not accept is the resident's responsibility to take to a landfill or recycling center or have removed, and the city points gasoline, household chemical, pool chemical and insecticide questions to the county landfill number it publishes.Official guidance

Is there a county drop off near Daphne?

The county authority runs hard-to-recycle centers in Summerdale, Fairhope and Gulf Shores that are open to Baldwin County residents, need no appointment and take electronics, paint, household chemicals, car batteries and tanks for a handling fee, with cans, cardboard, glass, paper, small batteries, plastics and light bulbs free. Its bulky pickup program does not serve addresses inside city limits, and the Magnolia Landfill in Summerdale accepts household garbage, construction and demolition debris, yard waste, furniture and bulky waste items and tires.Official guidance
