Confirm the recipient first
Goodwill organizations set their own donation policies. Ask the specific regional organization whether it accepts your treadmill model, whether it must be working, and whether it offers pickup. A policy in one region does not establish acceptance elsewhere.

Check the practical transport details
Before moving a heavy treadmill, confirm its weight, the condition of the belt and console, and the route out of the building, including stairs. Also confirm whether the recipient handles pickup or expects you to deliver it.
If this location declines the machine, compare other treadmill donation recipients and their collection arrangements.

When Dropcurb fits
Dropcurb can handle an accepted household treadmill, including a folding model, when it is already outside and accessible. The service includes loading, transportation and disposal. If you need someone to carry the treadmill out from indoors, use a service that includes indoor carrying.

Frequently asked questions
Does a working treadmill qualify automatically?
No. A working treadmill does not qualify automatically because Goodwill acceptance is regional. Goodwill NYNJ and Northern New England explicitly exclude treadmills, so confirm the policy of the specific receiving organization first.
