Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Indio publishes no city collection or drop-off route for renovation material, and its diversion mandate names construction sites as a stream the city has to keep out of the landfill.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no construction rate because its own service does not take the material. A private container company or receiving facility sets its own acceptance and price, so confirm both before the load leaves the site.
When & how
Arrange a private container or a receiving facility before the project starts, and keep the material out of the curbside containers and out of a bulky item request.
Get it ready
Separate recyclable and reusable material before the load leaves the site, because the city's AB 939 diversion mandate names construction sites alongside commercial and residential streams, and route paint, thinners and other chemicals to the household hazardous waste options instead of the debris pile.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Hazardous material never goes in the trash or recycling

Oil based paint, car batteries, refrigerators, air conditioning units, televisions, computer monitors, pesticides and similar items cannot go in the curbside trash or recycling containers. The city gives (760) 391-4129 for proper disposal and points at the Coachella and Indio Waste Transfer Station on Landfill Road, where the ABOP centre takes antifreeze, batteries, oil, filters and paint only. The county's permanent facility on Vella Road in Palm Springs takes all household hazardous waste types.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Drop the four ABOP materials at the transfer station

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Indio runs the collection through Burrtec, the city's franchised hauler at (760) 340-2113, with garbage and recyclables weekly on the designated service day. Bulky items and electronic waste are free with unlimited requests: contact Burrtec at least five days before the collection day, keep to four items a week, and set nothing out more than 24 hours ahead. Sofas, chairs and refrigerators are the published bulky examples, electronics ride their own pickup at up to four items a week, and the Desert Arc events add a free e-waste drop-off open to the whole Coachella Valley. Paint, antifreeze, batteries, oil and filters go to the ABOP centre at 87-011 Landfill Road in Coachella, which the city runs with the City of Coachella, and anything else hazardous goes to the county's permanent facility on Vella Road in Palm Springs. Renovation material has no city route, so a project needs a private container or a receiving facility. 8 to 5 Monday through Friday and 8 to noon on Saturday.

The city publishes the centre and its hours without a fee, so confirm the current terms at 760-863-4094 before you load.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Indio.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Indio?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Indio?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Does Indio collect construction debris?

No city construction route is published. The bulky item programme covers household items such as sofas, chairs and refrigerators, and hazardous materials such as oil based paint and pesticides are refused in the curbside containers, so a renovation load needs a private container company or a receiving facility. Paint, thinners and chemicals go to the ABOP centre or the county's household hazardous waste facility instead.Official guidance

Where do Indio paint, oil and batteries go?

Antifreeze, batteries, oil, filters and paint go to the ABOP drop-off centre at 87-011 Landfill Road in Coachella, open 8 to 5 Monday through Friday and 8 to noon on Saturday, which the city runs with the City of Coachella and which takes those five materials only. Burrtec also collects up to 5 gallons of used motor oil at the curb for all Indio residents, old paint cans can go to a PaintCare location, and the county's permanent facility at 1100 Vella Road in Palm Springs takes all household hazardous waste types on Saturdays.Official guidance
