Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Special rules apply

A project load does not ride the residential bulky route. The county requires 65 percent of construction and demolition material to be diverted from the landfill under the 2019 CALGreen code, a Construction Waste Management Plan is filed before the project starts, and the receipts are submitted at the end. A self hauled load goes to the county landfill in San Timoteo Canyon in Redlands.

City cost & eligibility
From $13.71 for for up to 300 pounds of ordinary residential waste at a San Bernardino County disposal site on the published schedule effective July 1, 2023, with heavier loads prorated at 61 dollars 49 cents per ton, tires at 5 dollars 31 cents each up to nine rollable tires off the rim, and separate per ton hard to handle and special handling rates carrying a minimum load charge. San Bernardino County disposal sites, paid by cash, Visa or MasterCard, with cash rounded to the nearest whole dollar and an uncovered or unsecured load charged double. A Construction Waste Management Plan applies separately to a covered project.
When & how
File the Construction Waste Management Plan before the project starts through the county online permitting system, or call 909-386-8701 for help with the plan or with self haul construction waste disposal, and self haul the load to the San Timoteo Landfill at 31 Refuse Road in Redlands, which the county opens Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Get it ready
Separate recyclable and reusable material from the disposal load, keep the weight tickets and recycling receipts for the end of the project, and keep paint, hazardous waste, liquid waste, sealed containers, hot ashes, medical waste, mercury and lead items and anything longer than ten feet out of the load because the county refuses them.

A covered project diverts most of its debris

The county requires 65 percent of construction and demolition material to be diverted from the landfill by recycling or reuse under the 2019 CALGreen code. A Construction Waste Management Plan is submitted before the project starts, estimating the material and describing how it will be handled, and at the end the applicant submits hauler invoices, recycling facility or landfill receipts, or a reuse certification. Help with the plan and with self haul construction waste disposal is available at 909-386-8701, and a self hauled load goes to the San Timoteo Landfill at 31 Refuse Road in Redlands, open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Six holidays push the rest of the week back a day

Redlands does not collect on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year's Day, and the rest of that week runs one day later. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Juneteenth, Columbus Day and Veterans Day do not change the collection schedule. A bulky pickup is booked onto the regular service day, so a holiday week moves it as well.

Ask solid waste about a roll-off bin

A household or contractor with a cleanup or project load that is too large for the free pickups.

Cost & conditions
The city lists roll-off bin information through solid waste customer service but publishes no container rate on the retained pages, so call 909-798-7529 for the size options and the price.
Arrange it
Call solid waste customer service at 909-798-7529 for the roll-off bin information and to arrange delivery and collection.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Redlands means the county landfill in San Timoteo Canyon. The San Timoteo Landfill at 31 Refuse Road opens Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and charges by weight at the gate: a flat rate for up to 300 pounds of ordinary residential waste, a per ton rate above that, a per tire rate for up to nine rollable tires off the rim, and separate per ton hard to handle and special handling rates with minimum load charges, with an uncovered or unsecured load charged double and cash rounded to the nearest dollar. Refrigerators are accepted only with no Freon left in, and paint, hazardous waste, liquids, sealed containers, hot ashes, medical waste, mercury and lead items, waste from outside the county and anything longer than ten feet are refused. Household chemicals and electronic waste do not go there; they go to the county household hazardous and electronic waste site at the City of Redlands Corporate Yard, 1270 W. Park Ave., on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., which is closed on holiday weekends and when it rains and limits each visit to 15 gallons or 125 pounds in containers no larger than five gallons. A construction project is different again: it files a Construction Waste Management Plan with the county before it starts, diverts at least 65 percent of its debris, and keeps the receipts, with help available at 909-386-8701. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Redlands.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Redlands?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Redlands?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.
