Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Accepted with preparation

Construction and demolition material is kept out of the free bulky pickup and goes to Johnson Canyon Landfill or the Jolon Road Transfer Station, where it is charged on the same tonnage tiers as household waste.

City cost & eligibility
From $18 for minimum load charge at a Salinas Valley Recycles facility, where a load up to 500 pounds is $18.00, a load between 501 and 999 pounds is $35.00, and a load of 1,000 pounds and above is $70.00 per ton for construction and demolition material or solid waste. The free yearly bulky pickup excludes construction materials, carpet, wood, paint, batteries and chemicals, so a project load is a paid drop-off. An untarped load is charged an additional 50 percent of the fee, and concrete or asphalt is charged separately by material.
When & how
Take the load to the Johnson Canyon Landfill, 31400 Johnson Canyon Rd. in Gonzales, open Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 4pm, or to the Jolon Road Transfer Station in King City on its published hours.
Get it ready
Separate concrete, asphalt, clean wood and green waste from mixed debris so each is charged on the right line, and cover or tarp the load before arrival, because an untarped load is charged an additional 50 percent of the fee. Treated wood waste goes to Johnson Canyon Landfill rather than into a mixed load.

Sort and cover a self-haul load before the scale house

At a Salinas Valley Recycles facility the charge depends on the material and the weight, so keep mattresses and box springs separate from other waste to stay inside the free ten mattress allowance, keep appliances apart from mixed debris, and separate concrete, asphalt, clean wood and green waste onto their own lines. Secure the load, because an untarped load is charged an additional 50 percent of the fee, and pay by cash, check or card at the scale.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Salinas.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Salinas?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Salinas?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Can construction debris go out with my Salinas bulky pickup?

No. Construction materials are on the unacceptable list for the free bulky pickup, and the same page also refuses carpet, wood, paint, batteries, chemicals and hazardous waste. A construction or demolition load goes to the Johnson Canyon Landfill or the Jolon Road Transfer Station, where it is charged on tonnage tiers starting with a minimum load charge for up to 500 pounds, and an untarped load costs an additional 50 percent.Official guidance
