The cleanup after the work

The project is done. Get your space back.

The new bathroom is ready, but the old vanity is still outside. A replaced door is taking up space you need. Put those leftover items on a pickup plan, with the price settled and updates through the final haul-away.

Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and demolition material

Special rules apply

Construction material is not on the accepted bulky list, and the city points residents to a temporary demonstration box or roll-off service for demolition, clean-up or yard projects.

City cost & eligibility
Temporary bins, demonstration boxes and roll-off containers are quoted by the hauler and no rate is published, so confirm the size, term and price with Burrtec at 909-949-0500.
When & how
Order the temporary bin or roll-off through Burrtec customer service before the project starts and arrange collection when the work is finished.
Get it ready
Separate and keep the contents uncontaminated so they can be recycled, and keep construction material out of the barrels and out of the bulky pickup pile.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Upland's collection is provided by Burrtec Waste Industries, with barrels out by 6 a.m. and back out of sight the same night. Two free routes carry a clean-out. The bulky pickup takes furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronic waste and other items too large for the barrel, up to four collections in a rolling calendar year with five items each and a booking at least a week ahead on 909-949-0500. The city's own household hazardous waste facility at Public Works, 1370 N. Benson Ave., is open every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., free for San Bernardino County residents except Fontana, with a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per trip and no business waste, and it refuses refrigerators and air conditioning units so those stay on the bulky route. Construction and demolition material is not part of the bulky list and moves through the hauler's temporary demonstration box or roll-off service, which is quoted rather than published. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Upland.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Upland?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Upland?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How does Upland handle renovation debris?

Construction material is not on the accepted bulky list. The city tells residents to order a temporary bin through a demonstration box or roll-off service for home demolition, clean-up or yard projects, with contents separated and uncontaminated for recycling, arranged through Burrtec customer service.Official guidance
