The project is done. Get your space back.

The new bathroom is ready, but the old vanity is still outside. A replaced door is taking up space you need. Put those leftover items on a pickup plan, with the price settled and updates through the final haul-away.

Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and demolition material

Not on the regular city route

Construction and demolition debris is refused on the bulky pickup, with asphalt, bricks, concrete, dirt, gravel and treated wood named in the flyer's unacceptable list. No city collection or drop-off for project material is published.

City cost & eligibility
No municipal rate covers construction or demolition debris, because the bulky program refuses it and the city publishes no construction drop-off for residents. A private container or hauling company quotes its own price.
When & how
Arrange a private container or hauling company, since neither the bulky pickup nor the drop-off sites accept project material.
Get it ready
Keep asphalt, bricks, concrete, dirt, gravel and treated wood off the bulky pickup and out of the carts so the rest of the load is not refused, and note that stained wood is the one wood the flyer accepts while painted or treated wood is not.

Right item.
Right place.

Two cubic yards, three large items and ten bundles

One single-family pickup covers two cubic yards, which is three feet deep by three feet high by six feet long or about twelve 32 gallon bags, plus three large individual items each within those dimensions and under 100 pounds. Long items such as wood, poles, pipes and rolled carpets must be bundled securely, with a limit of ten bundles at under 30 pounds each.

Six categories never ride the bulky pickup

The flyer refuses car parts such as motors, heads and transmissions, construction and demolition debris such as asphalt, bricks, concrete, dirt, gravel and treated wood, liquids, tires, yard trimmings and hazardous waste. Hazardous waste and liquids also must not be bagged with a clean-up load, and electronic waste has to be separated or placed in an open box rather than bagged.

For your Dropcurb pickup

With a new purchase

Arrange a private container for a project load

A household or contractor with construction, demolition or remodeling debris that the bulky program refuses.

Cost & conditions
No municipal rate covers construction or demolition debris, so the container or hauling company quotes its own price before the load is moved.
Arrange it
Contact a private container company, since neither the bulky pickup nor the drop-off sites accept project material.

Asphalt, bricks, concrete, dirt, gravel and treated wood are refused on the bulky route, so the load cannot ride a household pickup.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Vallejo has one curbside route and two drop-offs. A single-family household schedules four free bulky item pickups a year with Recology at 707.552.3110, giving an itemized list each time, and each pickup covers two cubic yards, about twelve 32 gallon bags, plus three large items under 100 pounds, with appliances and furniture accepted, refrigerator doors removed and a Freon charge on refrigerant units, and with construction debris, car parts, liquids, tires, yard trimmings and hazardous waste refused. Electronic waste can ride that pickup when it is separated or in an open box and never bagged, and it can also be dropped at the Recology Vallejo facility at 2021 Broadway Street from Thursday to Saturday between 8AM and 3:30PM with no appointment, where the resident unloads. Household hazardous waste is free up to 125 pounds or 15 gallons per trip at the Napa-Vallejo Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility at 889A Devlin Road in American Canyon, open Friday and Saturday from 9AM to 4PM, and the Broadway Street site also takes limited quantities of antifreeze, cooking and motor oil, drained oil filters, fluorescent bulbs, household and car batteries, paints and sharps. A project load has no municipal route and needs a private container. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Vallejo.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Vallejo?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Vallejo?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Does Vallejo collect construction debris?

Not through the household programs. The bulky item flyer lists construction and demolition debris such as asphalt, bricks, concrete, dirt, gravel and treated wood among the unacceptable items, and the city publishes no construction drop-off for residents. A project load needs a private container or hauling company.Official guidance

Who collects trash and bulky items in Vallejo?

Recology Vallejo runs the collection and the bulky item pickup and answers at 707.552.3110 at 2021 Broadway Street. The city's Public Works department publishes the household hazardous waste routes, which are the Napa-Vallejo collection facility on Devlin Road and the limited hazardous drop-off at the Recology site.Official guidance

How much fits in one Vallejo bulky pickup?

Two cubic yards, which the flyer describes as three feet deep by three feet high by six feet long, or about twelve 32 gallon bags, plus three large individual items each under 100 pounds. Long items have to be bundled, with no more than ten bundles at under 30 pounds each.Official guidance
