Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

West Sacramento routes televisions, computers and monitors to a bulky waste appointment, to Computers 4 Kids, or to the Yolo County Central Landfill.

City cost & eligibility
The City does not publish a fee for televisions or computers. Confirm the charge with Waste Management when booking the bulky waste appointment, or with the drop-off location you choose.
When & how
Book a bulky waste appointment at (866) 844-1508, or drop electronics at the Yolo County Central Landfill, which is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Get it ready
The City handles televisions, computers and monitors as electronics rather than curbside trash, so they are not set into a trash cart.

Yolo County Central Landfill

Taking it somewhere yourself?

West Sacramento residents can take material to the Yolo County Central Landfill at 44090 County Road 28H in Woodland, which accepts household refuse, construction debris, tires, appliances, mattresses and electronics and takes household hazardous waste on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Waste Management collects up to two gallons of used oil a month by appointment, and a front load dumpster is ordered directly from Waste Management at (800) 374-4778.
