Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Special rules apply

Clean household-scale building items are eligible for the city sweep: doors, cabinets and lumber with the nails removed. Heavy or dirty material is not, because concrete, brick, rock, asphalt, 55 gallon drums and hazardous household or construction chemicals are all on the non-eligible list, so a mixed demolition load has no city route.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. No charge for the eligible clean items at the Large Item Clean-Up within the one-pass sweep, provided the pile is bundled or packaged and can be lifted by two people. Refused material such as concrete, brick, rock, asphalt, drums and hazardous construction chemicals has to be handled privately.
When & how
Eligible material goes out by 7:00 AM on the neighborhood date in Area 1 between September 14 and 16 or Area 2 between September 21 and 23.
Get it ready
Pull the nails from lumber so it can be handled safely, bundle long pieces, keep hazardous construction chemicals, paint and solvents out altogether, and know that concrete, brick, rock, asphalt and drums will be left behind.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

One pass, one date, and everything out by 7:00 AM

The Large Item Clean-Up sweeps the whole city in two areas during the weeks of September 14 and September 21, with each neighborhood assigned one date inside Area 1 from September 14 to 16 or Area 2 from September 21 to 23. Crews make a single pass, so items have to be bundled or packaged, sitting curbside in front of the property, and out by 7:00 AM on the assigned date, and any pile that is late or placed on private property may be refused or charged a special collection fee.

What the city sweep will not take

Mattresses, household trash, tires, appliances containing Freon such as refrigerators and air conditioners, microwaves, televisions, monitors, computers and other electronics, concrete, brick, rock, asphalt, 55 gallon drums, hazardous household or construction chemicals and materials, oil, antifreeze, automotive fluids, paint, batteries, propane bottles and containers, flammable fluids, junk cars, motorcycles and boats are all refused. Anything too bulky, heavy or large for two people to lift is refused as well.

City of Federal Heights Public Works and High Peak Waste

Use the annual Large Item Clean-Up sweep

A household with furniture, doors, cabinets, clean lumber, bagged yard material, carpeting, bicycles or appliances that hold no Freon.

Cost & conditions
No charge. No charge for households in residential and manufactured neighborhoods on the neighborhood's assigned date during the two-week sweep, with apartment, condo and townhome areas excluded and one crew pass only.
Arrange it
Check the area map and the neighborhood date, then put the packaged pile curbside in front of the property before 7:00 AM on that date.

Late, unbundled or private-property piles risk refusal or a special collection fee, household trash is not part of the program, and the refused list covers mattresses, tires, Freon appliances, microwaves, electronics, concrete, brick, rock, asphalt, drums, paint, batteries, propane and automotive fluids.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Federal Heights runs no drop-off yard, so the city's own route is the annual Large Item Clean-Up sweep, which moves through the residential and manufactured neighborhoods in two areas during the weeks of September 14 and September 21 and takes furniture, doors, cabinets, clean lumber, bagged yard material, bundled branches up to four feet, bicycles with tires removed, carpeting and appliances without Freon from piles that are packaged, curbside and out by 7:00 AM on the neighborhood date. Mattresses, tires, Freon appliances, microwaves, electronics, concrete, brick, rock, asphalt, drums and hazardous household or construction chemicals are refused, and everything on that list moves through the hauler serving the address: a scheduled bulky pickup for furniture, mattresses and appliances, a by-appointment special waste pickup for paint, chemicals, batteries and electronics, and overflow bags at a published charge after the second bag on the regular collection. The city also points residents at the outside routes for the rest, namely the Colorado Department of Public Health electronics recycling information, Adams County recycling resources and events, the county sustainability program, and paint drop-off under the state paint stewardship law. Questions about the sweep go to the city at 303-428-3526. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Federal Heights.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Federal Heights?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Federal Heights?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Will the Federal Heights clean-up take building material?

Only the clean household-scale items. Doors, cabinets and lumber with the nails removed are eligible for the Large Item Clean-Up, while concrete, brick, rock, asphalt, 55 gallon drums and hazardous household or construction chemicals, wastes and materials are on the non-eligible list. A mixed demolition load therefore has no city route and has to be arranged privately.Official guidance
