Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions

Special rules apply

The Front Range Landfill no longer accepts televisions at either size and lists electronic waste as unaccepted, and Weld County refuses electronics at its hazardous waste facility, so a television has to be routed through the hauler's electronic waste service.

City cost & eligibility
Waste Connections states that it accepts electronic waste such as televisions, computer monitors and towers, but that acceptable items vary by location and the local office confirms the details, so call 303.288.2100 before taking the set anywhere.
When & how
Call Waste Connections at 303.288.2100 for the electronic waste location that serves Frederick, and do not take the set to the Front Range Landfill gate, where televisions are no longer accepted.
Get it ready
Keep the screen whole, wipe anything that stores data, and keep the set out of both carts, because the landfill treats electronic waste as unaccepted material and the town's cart rules prohibit hazardous or prohibited waste.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-haul in Frederick means the Front Range Landfill at 1830 Weld County Rd 5 in Erie, open Monday through Friday 6AM to 5PM and Saturday 6AM to 2PM. It is open to the general public with no residency proof needed, takes furniture, mattresses, white goods, a treadmill without a computer, construction debris and yard waste, and charges a car load minimum or per ton with higher minimums for pickup loads. Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, televisions and other electronic waste are refused, as are batteries, tires, liquids and hazardous waste, so hazardous material goes instead to the free Weld County facility in Dacono on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Every load has to be tarped or it is charged double, and anyone who leaves the vehicle needs a safety vest. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Frederick.

How much does TV removal cost in Frederick?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Frederick?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Will the Front Range Landfill take my old television?

No. The landfill's price list shows that televisions, small and large, are no longer accepted, and electronic waste is on its unaccepted list. Waste Connections does accept electronic waste such as televisions, monitors and towers at its e-waste locations, but the company says acceptable items vary by location, so call 303.288.2100 to confirm where to take the set.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Frederick?

Waste Connections Denver collects residential trash and single-stream recycling under the town's exclusive contract, and customer service answers at 303.288.2100. Each household has a 96 gallon trash cart collected weekly and a 96 gallon recycling cart collected every other week, with Tuesday pickup west of I-25 and Friday pickup east of it. Extra carts are billed by the town, and the town does not provide commercial trash service.Official guidance

Where do Frederick paint, oil and batteries go?

To a Weld County household hazardous waste facility, which is free for county residents. The nearest is the South facility at 5500 Highway 52 in Dacono, open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the North facility at 1311 North 17th Avenue in Greeley opens Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Paint, motor oil, oil filters, gasoline, antifreeze, batteries, aerosols, cleaners, pesticides and propane cylinders up to 20 pounds are accepted, containers may not exceed five gallons, and the limit is 200 pounds per household per day.Official guidance

Where do a refrigerator and a television go in Frederick?

Neither goes to the Front Range Landfill, which refuses refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and televisions, and neither goes to the Weld County household hazardous waste facility, which refuses appliances and electronics. Call Waste Connections at 303.288.2100 to arrange the unit, and ask the same office for the electronic waste location that serves Frederick, because the company accepts televisions, monitors and towers but says acceptable items vary by location.Official guidance
