Waste Management also runs a drop-off program for residents short on time through 800-449-7587, and paint can go to a PaintCare site instead, up to five gallons a visit.

The City gives away raw wood mulch from its forestry pruning and removal work at a pile on the northwest corner of South Prescott Street and West Prentice Avenue, outside the white fence, open during daylight hours and refilled once or twice a week. Paint goes through the At Your Door Special Collection with the rest of the household hazardous material, and PaintCare runs year round drop-off sites that take up to five gallons a visit.
