Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronics cannot go in the recycle cart or on a special pickup and are recycled through named local businesses instead.

City cost & eligibility
The City names three electronics recyclers and does not set a single price. R2 Disassembly charges for televisions and monitors and takes other electronics at no charge, while Best Buy and Veolia set their own terms, so confirm the price and the accepted devices with the recycler before the trip.
When & how
Take the devices to one of the businesses the City lists: R2 Disassembly at 11751 Huron Street, Best Buy at 104th Avenue and Bannock Street, or Veolia at 9131 E. 96th Avenue, after calling the chosen location.
Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the recycle cart and off a special pickup pile, because both refuse them. Delete or destroy the data before the device leaves the property, since the City warns that deleting files and reformatting does not guarantee the data is gone, and use disk-wiping software or remove and physically damage the drive.

Automotive batteries and fluids at the curb

The City collects up to two automotive batteries a week on the scheduled trash day, placed next to the trash cart in the street and never inside the cart. Used motor oil and antifreeze used to be collected the same way, up to five gallons a week in clear one-gallon containers marked with the address and with taped lids, but the City states that from July 1, 2026 it no longer accepts either at the curb.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Northglenn runs its own sanitation division, so most large material leaves the street on a special pickup rather than a self-haul trip. What a resident hauls is the material the pickup refuses. Electronics go to a named recycler, with R2 Disassembly at 11751 Huron Street charging for televisions and monitors and taking other devices at no charge, and Best Buy and Veolia as the other options. Yard waste goes free to the City's mulching center at 12301 Claude Court on the first and third Saturdays from April through November and the first Saturday in winter, with single-axle trailers only and proof of residency. Construction and remodeling debris moves through a City roll-off, or to Tower Landfill at 19260 E. 88th Ave or a free landfill day, and reusable building materials can go to Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Refrigerant appliances are refused on the special pickup, so confirm that route with the sanitation division before moving one. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Northglenn.

How much does TV removal cost in Northglenn?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Northglenn?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go in Northglenn?

To a recycler. The City lists R2 Disassembly at 11751 Huron Street, Best Buy at 104th Avenue and Bannock Street, and Veolia at 9131 E. 96th Avenue, along with the electronics recycling page. Electronics cannot go in the recycle cart and are refused on a special pickup.Official guidance

Which devices count as electronic waste?

Televisions, computers and monitors, laptops, notebooks and tablets, printers, fax machines, DVD and VCR players, peripherals such as keyboards and mice, radios and stereos, and video game consoles. The City also points out that state law requires these devices to be recycled rather than landfilled, and that protecting the data on a drive is the owner's job.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Northglenn?

The City's own sanitation division. For single-family residences the City states it can assist with discarding any household item or direct the resident to someone who can, and the contact is 303.450.4004 or sanitation@northglenn.org, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Official guidance

Where do household batteries go?

Alkaline batteries, which are the non-rechargeable kind, go in the regular trash. Rechargeable batteries go to the in-store recycling center at the Lowe's on 261 W. 104th Ave. Automotive batteries are different again: the City collects up to two a week on the scheduled trash day if they are placed next to the trash cart in the street rather than inside it.Official guidance

Can I still put used motor oil out at the curb?

No. The City used to collect up to five gallons of used motor oil or antifreeze a week in clear one-gallon containers marked with the address and with taped lids, but it states that from July 1, 2026 it no longer accepts either at the curb. Most auto parts retailers and some oil change stations take used oil, and Veolia accepts oil and antifreeze for a fee.Official guidance

Can anyone take the free mulch?

Yes. Mulch is available to residents, the general public and businesses during yard waste drop-off hours, with no identification required and no charge, and the City refills a large pile at the same site. Visitors bring their own shovels because the City does not provide tools, and the drop-off itself is still limited to Northglenn single-family residences.Official guidance
