Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Bulk waste is anything too large for the garbage cart, and it is collected on call rather than on a fixed route. A household may request up to two large items or three cubic yards once a month.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Included in the county residential collection service, with additional pickups beyond the monthly allowance available from the hauler at a cost.
When & how
Call FCC Environmental Services on (904) 490-9996 or request the pickup through the hauler's website before anything goes out. The hauler gives the next available collection day for the address, and items should not be at the curb more than one day before that day.
Get it ready
Break down or flatten bulky items and fully disassemble the larger pieces such as swing sets, basketball poles and gym equipment, removing all concrete from poles and posts. Keep construction debris, car parts, hot tubs, pool tables, pool equipment, cardboard boxes and anything that fits in the cart out of the pile.
Indoor and outdoor furniture is on the bulk list, and a mattress and box spring set counts as one furniture item. Toys, bicycles, strollers, luggage, vacuum cleaners and grills without tanks are listed too.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Included in the county residential service, within the monthly two item or three cubic yard bulk allowance.
When & how
Book the pickup with the hauler first, then put the item out no more than one day before the collection day FCC gives for the address.
Get it ready
Break the piece down as far as it will go and take the gas tank off a grill. A whole set of mattress and box spring counts as a single furniture item, so keep the pair together rather than adding the frame to the same request, and keep cushions or drawers with the piece so it reads as one item.
Appliances are accepted on the bulk route, and the county convenience centres take one appliance a day with the door removed from anything airtight. The landfill scale prices appliances by the ton.
City cost & eligibility
$76 per ton of appliances at the county landfill scale. Charged at the scale for material beyond the household allowances, while the bulk pickup within the monthly allowance and the one appliance a day at a convenience centre carry no separate charge.
When & how
Add the appliance to a bulk request, or bring it to a convenience centre during open hours, with Clay Hill taking one appliance a day.
Get it ready
Remove the door from a refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer or similar airtight unit before it goes out, which Florida law requires for a unit of one and a half cubic feet or more. Keep a cooling appliance out of the ordinary garbage and out of the recycling cart.
Tires are not collected at the curb. A household may drop up to four passenger tires of 22 inches or smaller each month at Rosemary Hill or a convenience centre at no charge.
City cost & eligibility
$240 per ton of passenger tires beyond the monthly free drop off, with off road tires charged at the higher published rate. The first four passenger tires of 22 inch rim or smaller each month are free at Rosemary Hill or a convenience centre, and larger quantities are charged at the landfill scale.
When & how
Bring the tires to Rosemary Hill Monday to Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or to a convenience centre during its open hours.
Get it ready
Keep tires out of the curbside carts and out of a bulk pile, because they are not collected curbside. Semi truck tires have to go to Rosemary Hill rather than a convenience centre, and any quantity beyond the free monthly drop is priced by weight at the scale.
Bulk collection is on call rather than on a route. Call FCC Environmental Services on (904) 490-9996 or use the hauler's website, take the next available collection day the hauler gives for the address, and put the pile out no earlier than the day before that day. A household is limited to one bulk pickup a month, and extra pickups are available at a cost.
Disassemble the big pieces and take the concrete off
Basketball poles, gym equipment and metal swing sets have to be fully disassembled and the concrete removed from poles and posts before the pickup. Bulky items are broken down or flattened, and anything that still fits in the garbage cart does not belong in the pile.
A convenience centre takes any combination of material up to one and a half cubic yards a day, about one pickup truck load, including no more than ten 32 gallon containers, one large piece of furniture, one appliance, one cubic yard of construction debris and four tires a month. Dirt, rock, concrete, asphalt, roofing and automobile or motorcycle parts are refused, yard waste is accepted only at Doctors Inlet and Keystone Heights, and scavenging is prohibited.
Scrap metal, including a satellite dish, goes to the Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility in Green Cove Springs or to a convenience centre rather than into a cart or a bulk pile. The same two routes take up to four passenger tires of 22 inches or smaller a month at no charge, with semi truck tires going to Rosemary Hill.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Before you book
A few things worth knowing.
Bulk junk removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Middleburg.
How much does bulk junk removal cost in Middleburg?+
A trash bag is $59 as the first item and $10 additional. A filled household box is $59 as the first item. Add your actual items and quantities to see the combined price before booking. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; any applicable sales tax is shown before payment.
Can you pick up bags of junk today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the booked bags and boxes outside and accessible according to your confirmation. You receive pickup updates and completion photos; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
Do I count every object inside a bag or box?+
No. Count the filled bags or boxes using the matching choice. Books and media go in Filled household box; clothes, bedding and shoes go in Bag of clothes & bedding; packed toys have a Box of toys choice. Empty cardboard is separate, with individual empty boxes and bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Heavy, oversized or unusual contents need a photo review before booking.
Can you pick up a small loose pile of household junk?+
Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
Can I book bags, boxes and furniture together?+
Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included. Keep anything you want to retain apart from the booked items and identify what goes in your photos and notes.
How much bulk waste can a Clay County household set out?+
Up to two large items or three cubic yards, on one pickup a month, requested from FCC Environmental Services on (904) 490-9996 before anything goes out. The hauler sets the collection day for the address, the pile goes out no earlier than the day before, and extra pickups are available at a cost.Official guidance

What has to happen before a Clay County appliance goes out?+
The door comes off a refrigerator, freezer, washer or dryer first, which Florida Statute 823.0792 requires for an airtight unit of one and a half cubic feet or more. The appliance can then go on a bulk request, or to a convenience centre where the limit is one appliance a day.Official guidance
Can Clay County residents drop off tires?+
Yes, but not at the curb. A resident may bring up to four passenger tires of 22 inches or smaller each month to the Rosemary Hill facility or a county convenience centre at no charge. Semi truck tires go to Rosemary Hill, and larger quantities are charged by weight on the county fee schedule.Official guidance

Items go out no more than a day early, larger pieces are fully disassembled with concrete removed, and extra pickups are available at a cost.Official guidance
What will Clay County refuse at the curb?+
Tires and scrap metal are not collected curbside, and they go to Rosemary Hill or a convenience centre instead.
