Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction, demolition and land clearing debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction debris is refused in the carts, in a bulk collection and at the convenience centers, and it has to be weighed at the Main Landfill.

City cost & eligibility
From $62.47 for the per ton Class I rate for mixed demolition and other waste at the Main Landfill under the tipping fees effective June 1, 2026. Separated construction and demolition debris is charged 3.9 cents a pound, or 78.47 dollars a ton, and yard waste is charged 2.8 cents a pound, or 56.27 dollars a ton, while Class I waste is 3.1 cents a pound, or 62.47 dollars a ton. The County states that from June 1, 2026 all waste at the Main Landfill is charged by weight and that the former free 2,000 pound residential allowance is discontinued.
When & how
Take the load to the Main Landfill at 14450 Landfill Rd. in Brooksville, open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed Sunday and holidays, with proof of Hernando County residency and help to unload, because staff do not assist.
Get it ready
Keep the debris out of the garbage cart, off a bulk pile and away from the convenience centers, which refuse interior and exterior construction debris, land clearing debris, fencing, pallets, decking and roofing material. Complete trees, trunks and roots have to go to the landfill rather than a convenience center, and large loose loads go there too.

Hernando County Solid Waste and Recycling with Coastal Waste & Recycling

Take a weighed load to the Main Landfill

A household or contractor with construction debris, land clearing debris, tires, an oversized load or anything the convenience centers refuse.

Cost & conditions
From $62.47 for the per ton Class I rate under the tipping fees effective June 1, 2026. Construction and demolition debris is 3.9 cents a pound, or 78.47 dollars a ton, yard waste is 2.8 cents a pound, or 56.27 dollars a ton, automobile and semi-truck tires are 7.7 cents a pound, or 154.88 dollars a ton, and off-road tires are 10.3 cents a pound, or 206.50 dollars a ton. Recycling and residential household hazardous waste stay free, and from June 1, 2026 the former free 2,000 pound residential allowance is discontinued.
Arrange it
Drive to 14450 Landfill Rd., Brooksville, FL 34614, open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed Sunday and holidays, with proof of Hernando County residency and help to unload.

Radioactive material, biomedical waste including red bag waste, liquid waste and commercial hazardous waste are refused at every County facility, out-of-county waste is not accepted, and the load is weighed so mixed waste is charged at the higher category when it is not separated.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Spring Hill has no city yard of its own, but the West Hernando Convenience Center sits on Osowaw Boulevard inside the community and takes household loads from residents who pay the County solid waste assessment. A visit costs five dollars for up to five bags of household garbage at 60 gallons or less each, fifteen dollars for more than five bags or a bulk load of household items and furniture, and fifteen dollars for yard waste, while recycling and the household hazardous waste accepted at all locations are free when they are brought in original containers, open bins or clear bags. The center refuses tires, construction and land clearing debris, auto parts, pools and spas, outdoor structures and outdoor items, so those loads and anything oversized go to the Main Landfill at 14450 Landfill Rd. in Brooksville, which is open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., takes construction debris, land clearing debris and tires, and weighs every load. From June 1, 2026 the County charges all waste at the landfill by weight and discontinued the free 2,000 pound residential allowance, with Class I waste at 3.1 cents a pound, construction and demolition debris at 3.9 cents, yard waste at 2.8 cents and tires at 7.7 cents a pound for automobile and semi-truck sizes and 10.3 cents for off-road tires. Both facilities require proof of Hernando County residency, neither accepts out-of-county waste, and residents bring their own help to unload. Northwest Solid Waste Management Facility, Main Landfill

14450 Landfill Rd., Brooksville, FL 34614

Class I residential household waste including bagged kitchen and bathroom trash, clothing and bedding, packaging, electronics and indoor furniture, commercial waste, automobile parts, pools and spas, outdoor items, construction and demolition debris including roofing material, wood and drywall, fencing, pallets, decking and outdoor structures, yard waste and land clearing debris, sorted recycling including metal, household hazardous waste including the items accepted only there, sharps and medications, and automobile, semi-truck and off-road tires.

Hernando County waste only, with proof of residency. Refused at every County facility: radioactive material, biomedical waste including red bag waste, liquid waste and commercial hazardous waste. The free 2,000 pound residential allowance is discontinued from June 1, 2026, and all waste is charged by weight, so separating recycling, yard waste and construction debris keeps the load on the cheaper rate. Children and pets stay in the vehicle and staff do not assist with unloading.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Spring Hill.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Spring Hill?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Spring Hill?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does construction debris go in Spring Hill?

To the Main Landfill in Brooksville, weighed and charged. The convenience centers refuse interior and exterior construction debris, land clearing debris, fencing, pallets, decking and roofing material, and the material cannot go in the garbage cart or on a bulk pile. Separated construction and demolition debris is charged 3.9 cents a pound, or 78.47 dollars a ton.Official guidance

Is there still a free residential allowance at the landfill?

No. The County states that from June 1, 2026 the Main Landfill charges all waste by weight and that the former free 2,000 pound residential allowance is discontinued. Recycling and residential household hazardous waste are still free when they are clearly identifiable.Official guidance

What does curbside collection cost in Spring Hill?

In the universal or mandatory area it is 217.37 dollars a year as of January 1, 2026, billed as a non-ad valorem assessment on the tax bill with no setup needed. In the subscription area it is 16.96 dollars a month, or 50.88 dollars a quarter, billed by Coastal Waste & Recycling. The fee covers transport only and not disposal at the landfill.Official guidance

How does curbside recycling work?

Recycling is collected once a week in two sorted bins that come with the service: paper and cardboard in one, and rigid plastic containers, aluminum and tin in the second. Bins go out before 6 a.m. on the service day, and the program does not include glass or plastic bags, so contaminated or mixed loads are not collected.Official guidance

How does yard waste go out?

Once a week in customer-provided containers, never in the garbage cart or recycling bins, with up to 12 containers, bags or tied bundles under 50 pounds and 45 gallons each. Bundles must be under four feet and branches under four inches in diameter, and loose or untied piles are not collected. Landscaper waste and land clearing debris are not eligible at the curb.Official guidance

Where do tires go in Spring Hill?

Not to the convenience centers, which refuse tires, and not in the garbage cart. Tires go to the Main Landfill in Brooksville, which accepts automobile, semi-truck and off-road tires and charges by weight at 7.7 cents a pound, or 154.88 dollars a ton, for automobile and semi-truck tires and 10.3 cents a pound, or 206.50 dollars a ton, for off-road tires.Official guidance

Do I need to prove I live in Hernando County to use a facility?

Yes. Any of the three County facilities requires proof of residency, either a driver's license with a current Hernando County address or an out-of-county license with a TRIM notice, utility bill or deed, and all facilities take Hernando County waste only. Children and pets stay in the vehicle and residents bring their own help to unload.Official guidance

What is the fastest way to clear a whole house?

Schedule a curbside bulk collection with Coastal at 352-540-6457 for the furniture and non-freon appliances, and take the rest to the West Hernando Convenience Center if it is a small household load or the Main Landfill if it is large or loose. Freon appliances, tires, construction debris, outdoor furniture and structures cannot go to the convenience centers, and hazardous material goes free to a County location within the monthly limits.Official guidance
