Bulk pickup is an a la carte, scheduled service. Routine collection does not take oversized items, and each category carries its own published rate.
Two county routes serve Winter Haven addresses. The household hazardous waste facility on Environmental Loop takes chemicals and electronics from residents at no additional fee with a five-component limit, and the northeast convenience center takes bulky, yard and construction material, tires and scrap metal at flat residential rates with proof of residency. Polk County now routes residents away from the North Central Landfill and to its transfer station, so confirm the current drop-off location and hours before loading.
