Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions, computers and electronic waste

Special rules apply

Electronics appear on neither the permitted bulk list nor the list of material refused in refuse, and East Point publishes no electronics drop-off, so a television or computer has to be confirmed with the Solid Waste office rather than promised at the curb.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no electronic waste entry, no drop-off and no rate, so confirm how a television or computer is handled with Solid Waste Services at (404) 902-2650 before it goes to the curb, and do not put it in the refuse container.
When & how
Call the Solid Waste office during its published hours, Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and ask what arrangement applies to the device.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before handover, keep electronics out of the refuse container because the city's lists do not permit them there, and hold the device until the office confirms a route rather than leaving it at the curb.
City sanitation brochure updated June 2026 with the service list, the bi-weekly recycling rules and permitted items, the refuse set out and storage rules, the materials refused in refuse, the yard waste limits and overage charge, the bulk item list with its conditions and the published bulk ratesCity bulk waste amnesty flyer updated June 2026 with the two free pickups a year, the permissible bulk item list including the Freon and door removal condition, and the items not permitted in bulk collectionCity solid waste page with the two free bulk amnesty pickups, the scheduled special pickup for appliances and large furniture with charges beyond the monthly fee, the same day bulk service, the Bayard Street facility and its hours, the receptacle replacement cost, the storage ordinance and the holiday list

City of East Point Solid Waste Services

Confirm electronics and other unlisted items

A household with a television, a computer, an exercise machine or another item the city lists neither as permitted nor as refused.

Cost & conditions
Electronics and exercise equipment are named nowhere in the city's collection material and no rate covers them, so the arrangement comes from Solid Waste Services when the household calls.
Arrange it
Call Solid Waste Services at (404) 902-2650, Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, and follow the instruction given for the device.

The city publishes no electronics drop-off and no electronics rate, so a household may need a private recycler for a television or computer, and the material should not be left at the curb in the meantime.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

East Point publishes no resident drop-off yard for bulky material, so everything moves through the city's own collection streams. Refuse goes in the container at the curb by 7:30 AM on the collection day and has to be bagged inside a covered can stored at the rear or side of the property between collections, recycling is collected bi-weekly on the same day, and anything bulky is booked as an appointment with Solid Waste Services at (404) 902-2650 rather than set out on the regular day. Single-family residents get two free bulk amnesty pickups a year, and after that the published rate applies, which is 35.00 for the first item and 10.00 for each additional item. The bulk list covers sofas, chairs, tables, desks, mattresses, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves, lawnmowers and refrigerators, each subject to its own condition: Freon and the door out of a refrigerator, water drained from a hot water heater, gasoline and oil out of a lawnmower. Yard trimmings are limited to five feet in length and five inches in diameter, larger trimmings carry a minimum charge of 50.00 plus 10.00 per cubic yard, and grass clippings and leaves go in brown paper bags, cardboard boxes or a container no larger than 45 gallons and no heavier than 50 pounds. Construction, remodeling and demolition debris, concrete, asphalt, wood, dirt, sod, rock, tires, paint, oil, propane tanks and hot ashes are refused in every city stream, so those loads are arranged privately, and electronics have no published route at all, which means a television or computer is confirmed with the Solid Waste office before it leaves the house. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in East Point.

How much does TV removal cost in East Point?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in East Point?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where can an East Point household take a television or computer?

The city does not publish a route: electronics are named on neither the permitted bulk list nor the refuse list, and there is no city electronics drop-off in the solid waste material. Call Solid Waste Services at (404) 902-2650, Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, and confirm the arrangement before the device leaves the house.Official guidance
