Book before arriving
All drop-offs need an appointment. For an estate library or more than the appointment limit, contact the donation center about special arrangements. Use containers you are willing to leave behind.

Check condition and unloading
Separate moldy, water-damaged, heavily annotated or pest-affected books, along with excluded reference sets. You will carry donations roughly ten feet to receiving bins; volunteer lifting assistance is not guaranteed.

When Dropcurb helps
If your San Francisco book clear-out leaves accepted boxes to remove, Dropcurb handles loading and transport once they are outside and accessible. Pack books in manageable boxes and count each filled box, not each book. Check heavy or oversized boxes with us first. Choose the charity directly when your goal is donation; standard pickup does not promise a donation destination.
