Answer sources: Note in the Pocket clothing donation guidance
Pack clothing in closed bags
The organization accepts sizes from infants through adults. Keep clothing and shoes together in secure bags and consult the current wishlist when choosing what to donate.
Keep unwearable pieces separate and use a textile-specific recycling route if the recipient declines them.
Choose staffed receiving or a listed bin
The Raleigh center lists weekday and Saturday donation hours. Partner bins have their own instructions, so use the current location list. Leave bags inside the designated container, never beside a full bin.
When Dropcurb helps
When your Raleigh closet clear-out leaves accepted bags that need removal, Dropcurb collects them outside and accessible. Bag clothing and bedding, count each filled bag, and send a photo for oversized bags. Donate wearable items directly to your chosen organization first; standard Dropcurb pickup does not promise donation or a particular recycling outcome.
