Check whether the appliance is worth selling
Compare the exact model and condition rather than relying on a general used-appliance price. Separate an asking price from a buyer’s actual offer, and ask whether the appliance is complete, working and free of major rust, missing parts, pests or mold odor.
For a laundry pair, compare washer-and-dryer resale and scrap options before accepting an offer.
Verify the handoff before transport
Before you move the appliance, confirm the buyer’s offer, payment method, pickup arrangement and who is responsible for loading. If the buyer will not take the item or the sale is not worth the transport effort, choose a removal option instead of continuing to arrange a sale.
When removal is the better option
If selling fails or transport makes a sale impractical, Dropcurb can remove an accepted washing machine or dryer when it is already outside and accessible. For accepted leftovers already outside, Dropcurb handles loading, transport and disposal. You can book before moving the item, but it must be outside and accessible before pickup; if you need indoor carrying, choose a service that includes that labor. Check available pickup dates during booking.
