Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

The city collects large bulky electronic items such as a television at the curb and delivers them to the county's Electronics Recovery Center. The television has to sit outside the garbage cart, and smaller electronics do not qualify for the curbside route.

Waste generated anywhere in Iowa other than Scott County needs prior approval, and the commission does not collect or haul. Payment is due at the time of service and no load is accepted after the listed closing time. Refrigerators and freezers must be emptied, and ammonia units are accepted from Scott County residents only.
