Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Appliance removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Dubuque.

How much does appliance removal cost in Dubuque?

A full-size household refrigerator is $109 as a single item. A washing machine is $109, and a dryer is $109. Other appliances have their own catalog prices. Choose each item to see your exact total before booking; disposal and recycling costs are included in the item price.

Can I get same-day appliance pickup in Dubuque?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Your pickup is scheduled for a day rather than an exact arrival appointment, and we text you before arrival. Have the appliance disconnected and ready outside by your pickup readiness time.

Can you take a washing machine and dryer in one pickup?

Yes. Add one Washing machine and one Dryer so both units are included in the price. They are separate items, even when you bought them as a set. If yours is a single combined unit or the machines still need to be unstacked, contact us before booking to confirm the scope.

Will you disconnect my appliance or carry it out?

Dropcurb picks up appliances that are already disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange uninstallation, utility disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Use a qualified professional for gas, hardwired or plumbing connections when needed. We handle loading and haul-away from the outdoor pickup spot.

Can I book if the delivery company did not take my old appliance?

Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. Select the old appliance, choose a pickup day and arrange for it to be disconnected and accessible outside. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.

How do I book a Dubuque large item pickup?

Book it online, through the REThink Waste app, or by phone on 563-589-4250 during business hours, and the collection normally falls on the regular pickup day. Set the items out by 6 a.m. and no more than 24 hours before collection, and expect an extra 20 dollar fee if the trip has to be scheduled off route. Fees go on the utility account, and tenants whose landlord pays the utilities pre-pay at the Utility Billing counter in City Hall.Official guidance

How do I get rid of a refrigerator in Dubuque?

Two published routes: the city large item pickup at a per appliance fee, or the agency landfill on Airborne Road at 20 dollars per appliance paid at the scale house, where Iowa requires appliances to be recycled. The appliance list covers refrigerators, freezers, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, water heaters, air conditioners, furnaces and water softeners, and a working unit may qualify for a utility rebate instead.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Dubuque?

The City of Dubuque Public Works Department runs curbside collection for households from single-family through six-unit multi-family, covering trash, recyclables, food scraps and yard waste, and the special large item pickup.
