Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction material is not on the Dumpster Days accepted list, and the event refuses commercial or industrial waste and household trash outright, so a project load has no city route and is arranged privately.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no construction rate and the Dumpster Days event accepts household bulky items rather than construction loads, so a private hauler or container company quotes the work.
When & how
Arrange the container or haul privately, and keep construction material out of a Dumpster Days load because commercial and industrial waste is refused at the gate.
Get it ready
Keep construction material off the Dumpster Days load, separate clean concrete, wood and metal where the receiving site asks for it, and confirm the destination's acceptance list before hauling.

What Dumpster Days refuses, and where it goes

Chemicals, commercial or industrial waste, fluorescent tubes, fuel tanks, household trash, hazardous waste such as batteries, waste oil and paint, liquids and propane bottles are refused at Dumpster Days. The city routes that material to the Johnson County Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Reuse Facility or the Olathe hazardous waste facility that accepts all Johnson County residents, and it points residents at RecycleSpot for other recycling and reuse options.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Lenexa leaves collection to private haulers, so the first call for a couch, a mattress or an appliance is the licensed company serving the address: city regulation requires every permitted hauler to offer one bulky item curbside pickup a year inside its basic collection rate, with some scheduling by phone and others running set area dates, and a few charging extra for particular items. For anything beyond that, the city runs Dumpster Days twice a year at the Municipal Services Service Center, 7700 Cottonwood St., where proof of a current Lenexa address is required and the fee depends on the vehicle rather than the load, from 20.00 for a car or minivan with seats to 75.00 for a large box truck. Four items carry their own fee at the gate: 5.00 per tire, 20.00 per computer monitor, 35.00 per television and 75.00 for a white appliance containing Freon. Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, lamps, light fixtures, ballasts, lawn mowers, smoke detectors, styrofoam, cardboard and yard waste are all accepted there, while chemicals, household trash, liquids, propane bottles, fuel tanks, fluorescent tubes and hazardous waste such as batteries, waste oil and paint are refused and routed to the Johnson County Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Reuse Facility or the Olathe facility open to all Johnson County residents. The city also runs two free document shredding events a year and accepts prescription medication at the Lenexa Justice Center. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lenexa.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Lenexa?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Lenexa?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Will Lenexa take construction debris?

Not at the city's Dumpster Days events, which accept household bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, appliances and electronics while refusing commercial or industrial waste, household trash, chemicals, liquids, fuel tanks, propane bottles and fluorescent tubes. A renovation load is therefore arranged with a private hauler or container company.Official guidance
