Billerica runs curbside collection through Waste Management and prices the awkward items individually, so most oversized pickups start with a phone call to schedule and pay. Mattresses are the exception because the state ban sends them to a separate recycling vendor, and construction material is left to the homeowner.

Construction and demolition material is not part of the town collection. The price list makes disposal the homeowner's responsibility and points to a junk removal service or a private dumpster.

Carts go out by 7 a.m. on collection day and no earlier than 5 p.m. the day before. Leave three feet of space to any obstacle, turn the handle and wheels away from the street, and close the lid. A listed holiday moves the rest of that week's collections one day later.
