Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

The city sites refuse construction debris, contractors are responsible for their own material, and a homeowner doing the work has to hire a private hauler or use one of the two named stations.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no construction rate. Champion City Recovery and Stoughton Recycling Technologies both say to call for pricing and scheduling, and a private hauler sets its own price, so confirm the charge and the accepted load before the material moves.
When & how
Arrange the haul or the drop-off separately from the curbside service, because the DPW Yard is not a landfill and refuses construction debris, wood and painted material.
Get it ready
Keep wood, construction debris, tires, oil and gasoline, latex and oil paint and any chemicals out of the DPW Yard load, because those are on its refusal list. Separate clean material for a station that takes it and call ahead, because the Braintree Transfer Station will not take construction and demolition debris from residents under the state rule.

What the DPW Yard takes, and what it refuses

The DPW Yard behind 55 Sea Street is for Quincy residents only and opens Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM within the 2026 season window that ends December 5, 2026. It accepts yard waste, single stream recycling, textiles, electronics, scrap metal, appliances, books, CDs, DVDs and mercury items, but it is not a landfill and refuses household trash, wood, tires, oil and gasoline, latex and oil paint, chemicals and construction debris. A valid Massachusetts driver's licence is required, and commercial plates are barred without prior written approval from the Commissioner's Office.

Hazardous material waits for a city drop-off day

The city holds a household hazardous waste drop-off day twice a year at the DPW Yard, and the next scheduled date is still to be announced. The event is for Quincy residents only with a Massachusetts driver's licence showing a Quincy address, material stays in its original container with caps tightened, and chemicals are never mixed. Accepted material includes oil-based paint, fuels, poisons, pool chemicals, solvents, mercury items and Ni-Cad and lithium batteries, which are also taken year round at the yard. Tires, latex paint, asbestos, ammunition, prescription medicines and syringes are refused.

Send a project load to a station that takes construction material

A household or contractor with construction and demolition debris, wood or fencing that the city sites refuse.

Cost & conditions
Both stations say to call for pricing and scheduling, and a private hauler sets its own price, so confirm the accepted load and the charge before the material moves.
Arrange it
Call Champion City Recovery at 138 Wilder St. in Brockton on (508) 941-6700 or Stoughton Recycling Technologies at 100 Page Blvd. in Stoughton on (781) 341-9920, or hire a private waste hauler for the load.

The DPW Yard refuses construction debris and the Braintree Transfer Station will not take construction and demolition debris from residents under the state rule, so a private route is required.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Quincy means the DPW Yard at 55 Sea Street, which is for Quincy residents only. It opens Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM inside the published 2026 season window from April 4, 2026 through December 5, 2026, and it takes yard waste, single stream recycling, textiles, electronics, all scrap metal, appliances other than refrigerators and dishwashers, books, CDs, DVDs and mercury items such as thermometers, thermostats, rechargeable batteries and fluorescent bulbs. A valid Massachusetts driver's licence is required, commercial plates need prior written approval from the Commissioner's Office, and the yard refuses household trash, wood, tires, oil and gasoline, latex and oil paint, chemicals and construction debris. Construction and demolition debris therefore has to go to a private hauler or to one of the two stations the city names, Champion City Recovery at 138 Wilder St. in Brockton on (508) 941-6700 or Stoughton Recycling Technologies at 100 Page Blvd. in Stoughton on (781) 341-9920, both with a call for pricing and scheduling. Hazardous material that the yard will not take waits for one of the city's two yearly household hazardous waste drop-off days at the yard, which are for Quincy residents only, with oil based paint, fuels, pool chemicals, solvents and mercury items accepted and tires, latex paint, asbestos and prescription medicines refused; the same items can also be discussed with Clean Harbors on (781) 380-7100. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Quincy.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Quincy?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Quincy?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does construction debris go in Quincy?

Not to the curb or the DPW Yard, which refuses construction debris and wood. The city tells a do-it-yourself homeowner to hire a private waste hauler or use a facility that accepts delivery, and it names Champion City Recovery at 138 Wilder St. in Brockton on (508) 941-6700 and Stoughton Recycling Technologies at 100 Page Blvd. in Stoughton on (781) 341-9920 as local stations that take construction material including wood, with a call for pricing and scheduling.Official guidance
