Get it ready
Count each item because the rate is charged per unit and splits between electronic waste, non-freon appliances and freon appliances, tape or bag loose batteries according to the town's battery guidance because rechargeable batteries must not go in the trash or recycling cart, and keep electronics out of the blue bag and the bulk sticker route.
Shrewsbury households pay for rubbish by the bag. Official blue pay-as-you-throw bags are sold at listed local retailers, priced as of July 13, 2026 at 1.44 for a small bag or 7.20 per roll of five and 2.92 for a large bag or 14.60 per roll of five.
