City cost & eligibility
No charge. Beds, mattresses and box springs are collected on request under the city sanitation service, which is funded by the monthly solid waste fee on the combined utility bill, and the city publishes no separate fee for a bulky item pickup.

Keep the set out of the roll carts and off the sidewalk, keep it dry, and put it out only for the scheduled collection day.
The collection service is funded by a monthly solid waste fee
Instead of charging at the curb, the city bills a monthly solid waste fee on the combined utility bill, which also carries water, stormwater and sewer and arrives every other month, and residential recycling carries no separate fee. Each additional roll cart carries its own monthly charge.

Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed.
