Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

City cost & eligibility
The county publishes no rate for household construction debris at the convenience centres, and the South Wake Landfill posts tipping fees for oversized loads, so confirm the accepted load and the charge before hauling.

Electronics go to a Wake County multi-material recycling facility, or to convenience centre Sites 1, 4 or 11 on a weekend only. Large appliances with freon, such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning and heating units, washers, dryers and water heaters, also go to a multi-material facility. Chemicals, paint, batteries, flammables and fluorescent bulbs go to a household hazardous waste facility, and household construction debris from the homeowner goes only to convenience centre Sites 1, 2, 4, 7 and 11 with verification. Mattresses and box springs are accepted only at Sites 1, 2, 4, 7 and 11, at a maximum of two a day, so the two Wake Forest convenience centres are not the right destination for any of these.

The county page publishes no drop-off fee at the convenience centres, so confirm the accepted material and any charge with Wake County Solid Waste before the trip.
Arrange it
Use one of the eleven centres, open daily 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. outside the listed holidays, and bring residency verification for the mattress and construction debris lines.
Electronics are limited to Sites 1, 4 and 11 on weekends, mattresses and box springs to Sites 1, 2, 4, 7 and 11 with a two a day limit, and household construction debris to Sites 1, 2, 4, 7 and 11 from the homeowner with verification, so the two Wake Forest sites are not the right destination for those streams.
Self haul in Wake Forest means the town bulk appointment or a Wake County site. The town takes furniture, mattresses, box springs, exercise equipment and listed appliances such as dishwashers, dryers, stoves, washing machines and water heaters on a Tuesday bulk appointment, with two free collections a calendar year and fifty dollars for each one after that, and it refuses electronics, tires, liquid paint, batteries, hazardous material, construction material and freon appliances including refrigerators, freezers and air conditioning units. Wake County picks up the rest. Electronics and large appliances go to a multi-material recycling facility, with North Wake on Deponie Drive in Raleigh and South Wake on Old Smithfield Road in Apex open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and East Wake in Wendell open Saturday and Sunday only. Chemicals, batteries, paint, solvents, aerosols, fluorescent bulbs, fire extinguishers and mercury thermometers go to a household hazardous waste facility, with North Wake temporarily closed after fire damage and running a Saturday collection event instead.
