Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No published list names an exercise machine and no separate rate covers one, so call 311 and ask whether the machine can go out as one of the weekly bulk pieces before it reaches the curb.
When & how
Confirm the machine first, then set it out as one of the three weekly bulk pieces if the city accepts it.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart and keep the pieces together so it can be presented as one cohesive bulk item, then confirm whether the separate pieces still count as a single item.
Eligible owner-occupied one and two family properties may put out three bulk pieces on the regular collection day all year, and each piece has to be one cohesive item no larger than twelve feet by three feet by three feet. A dresser with the drawers left inside is one piece, while the same dresser with the drawers removed counts as eight separate pieces against the weekly limit.

Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
Will the city take exercise equipment?+
