Concrete, sod, topsoil and clean stumps go to the town's yard waste facility, but lumber, floor tiles, roof shingles and other building materials are refused there and at the county ecopark, so a renovation load has no town or county route.

City cost & eligibility
The town publishes no fee for the yard waste facility, and it does not accept building materials at all. Monroe County charges for some specialty items at the ecopark but refuses building materials including wood, carpeting, concrete and drywall, so a renovation load of lumber or shingles has to be arranged privately and the price comes from the hauler or container company rather than from the town.
When & how
The town's yard waste facility is open during its published 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. window, and the county ecopark is open Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Neither facility takes a renovation load, so arrange the haul before the work starts.
Get it ready
Separate the load: concrete, sod, topsoil and clean stumps can go to the Flynn Road facility, while lumber, tiles, shingles and other building materials have to go to a private hauler or container. Bring photo identification showing a Greece address, because the site serves town residents for material from their own property and refuses commercial property material, non-residents and private contractors. Motorised equipment for loading and unloading is prohibited, including rented dual axle and dump body trucks and trailers, and a personally owned dual axle or dump body truck needs written permission from Public Works and a Monday delivery.

Take green waste and clean fill to Flynn Road
