Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Remodeling, construction and demolition material

Not on the regular city route

Construction material is written out of the curbside program. The city large item pickup excludes bricks, concrete and building materials, and Rumpke refuses drywall, concrete, bricks, dirt and rocks at the curb and tells households to contact it about alternative disposal.

City cost & eligibility
Nothing in the curbside contract covers construction debris and no city rate exists for it. Rumpke's own page directs households to contact the company to discuss alternative disposal options, which include its dumpster rental and haul away services priced by Rumpke, so confirm the container, the material and the price with the hauler before the project produces debris.
When & how
There is no collection day for construction material. A project load needs its own container or hauler arrangement set up in advance, which is why Rumpke asks households to call rather than putting the material at the curb.
Get it ready
Keep bricks, concrete, building materials, drywall, dirt and rocks out of the curbside pile entirely. Hazardous materials are also refused at the curb under federal law, and drums or barrels cannot be used as trash containers.

Building material, chemicals and drums stay out of the pile

Bricks, concrete and building materials are excluded from the city large item pickup, and Rumpke refuses drywall, concrete, bricks, dirt and rocks at the curb along with hazardous materials, drums, barrels and household containers used as trash containers. Household chemicals go to the county household hazardous waste collection on Yankee Road, and electronics go to the county's Friday drop-off instead.

Use the county tire recycling event

A Butler County household with car, truck or tractor tires, including tires still on rims.

Cost & conditions
The flyer does not publish a price for the event and lists only the county district line for questions, so confirm the current details on 513-887-3653, and note that business tires and large quantities are excluded.
Arrange it
Bring up to ten tires per household to the Butler County Fairgrounds, 1715 Fairgrove Ave. in Hamilton, on Saturday, October 24 between 8 am and 1 pm with proof of Butler County residency.

The event runs on one day a year, takes a maximum of ten tires per household, excludes business tires and large quantities, and lists Rumpke and Liberty Tire numbers for anyone with a larger load.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Middletown means knowing which of the three programs the item belongs to. Household bulky material stays with the city contract: one large item a week rides the regular Rumpke collection day, mattresses and upholstered furniture go out wrapped and sealed in plastic, and a refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner or dehumidifier needs a sticker from a certified technician plus the Rumpke Refrigerant Recovery Statement before it can be collected. Electronics cannot go curbside at all: the Butler County district runs a computer and television drop-off at Cohen Middletown, 3120 S. Verity Pkwy., every Friday from 9 am to 1 pm between July 10 and October 30, taking televisions, monitors, towers, laptops, peripherals, printers, scanners, cell phones, batteries of all types, consoles, DVD players and media, open to county residents with proof of residency and closed to businesses, with year-round outlets at Best Buy in Fairfield Township, Cleanlites Recycling in Forest Park and two Staples stores. Household chemicals go the same county route on Thursdays from 2 to 7 pm at Republic Services, 3555 Yankee Rd. in Middletown, between July 9 and October 29, taking oil-based paint, varnish, stain, solvents and thinners, pesticides, fertilizers, antifreeze, gasoline, motor oil, drain cleaners, pool chemicals, propane and helium tanks, thermometers and fire extinguishers, and refusing latex paint, cleaning solutions, sharps, mercury, explosives and drums over five gallons. Tires wait for the county event at the Butler County Fairgrounds on October 24, limited to ten per household, and construction material has no public route at all: bricks, concrete and building materials are excluded from the city service and Rumpke refuses drywall, concrete, bricks, dirt and rocks at the curb, so a project load needs its own container or hauler arranged in advance. City of Middletown trash collection page with the Rumpke contract for weekly trash removal for all residents, the published monthly fee, the service allowance of five 35 gallon containers, one large item and the recycling container plus unlimited bagged leaves in the fall, the large item pickup with the exception of bricks, concrete and building materials, the 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday collection hours, the holiday service rule with a one day delay after Christmas and New Year's Day, the 33 gallon and 70 pound container limits, the appliance and furniture list naming chairs, dishwashers, dryers, mattresses, refrigerators, sofas, stoves, washers and water heaters, the Freon sticker and Rumpke Refrigerant Recovery Statement requirement with the City Building lobby and 513-425-1860 contact, the brush and yard waste rules with four foot lengths, two foot bundles and a 70 pound limit, and the household hazardous waste drop-off block that the current county flyer supersedesRumpke bulk trash page with the curbside pickup for small bulky items on trash day alongside dumpster rental and Haul-it-Away options, the instruction to call customer service to schedule and review preparation, the rule that a mattress and box spring count as one large item and must be wrapped and sealed in plastic, the upholstered furniture wrapping rule with drawers emptied and taped shut, the refusal of drywall, concrete and bricks at the curb with a direction to contact Rumpke about alternatives, and the appliance rule accepting units with the Freon properly removed and a certified technician's refrigerant statement affixedButler County 2026 computer and television drop-off flyer with the Friday collection from July 10 to October 30 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Cohen Middletown, 3120 S. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Middletown.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Middletown?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Middletown?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Can construction debris go out with the trash in Middletown?

No. The city's large item pickup excludes bricks, concrete and building materials, and Rumpke refuses drywall, concrete, bricks, dirt and rocks at the curb and directs households to contact it about alternative disposal. A project load needs a container or hauler arranged in advance rather than a curbside pile.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Middletown, and what does the service include?

The city contracts with Rumpke for weekly trash removal for every Middletown resident at a published monthly rate that covers household refuse in up to five 35 gallon containers, one large item, the recycling container and unlimited bagged leaves in the fall. Collection runs between 6 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday, service continues on all holidays except Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and either of those holidays moves collection back a day.Official guidance

When is recycling collected in Middletown?

Every other week on the same day as the regular trash collection. A recycling bin is picked up at the Citizens Service Center in the City Building, Rumpke sends an annual bulletin with the gold or red recycling schedule, and the city publishes a map of the trash collection days so a household can confirm its day before setting the cart out.Official guidance
