Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Happy Valley means the county or Metro sites, because the city sets no fees of its own and collection runs through franchised companies. The Clackamas County Transfer Station at 19600 SE Canyon Valley Rd in Sandy opens Thursday through Monday 9 a.m. to a last load at 4:30 p.m. on 503-260-1577, the Metro South Transfer Station at 2001 Washington St in Oregon City opens 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from March through September and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from October through February on 503-234-3000, and the North Marion Recycling and Transfer Station in Woodburn opens 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The Metro South Household Hazardous Waste Facility on the same Oregon City site opens 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and takes up to 35 gallons of household hazardous products, while paint and stains can also go back through PaintCare at no fee and medications go to a drug take-back box. Electronics go free to an Oregon E-Cycles site at up to seven qualifying items a time, yard debris goes to one of the listed yard waste facilities, and construction, demolition and remodeling debris may need asbestos testing and documentation before a site will accept it. The county asks residents to call ahead to confirm hours and accepted material, and it reminds them that large appliances, furniture and other items can be collected by the franchised company even for a household that is not a regular customer. Metro South Household Hazardous Waste Facility

Household hazardous waste such as aerosols, art and hobby chemicals, automotive fluids, batteries, fire extinguishers, cleaners and disinfectants, mercury-containing products including fluorescent bulbs, tubes, thermometers and thermostats, paints, stains, solvents and thinners, pesticides and poisons, pool and spa chemicals, propane tanks, sharps and unwanted medicines, with a household limit of up to 35 gallons.

The county asks residents to call ahead to confirm hours and accepted material, facilities may close during extreme weather, and business waste goes through the county's separate very small quantity generator programme rather than the household route.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

The county publishes the facility, its hours and the 35 gallon household limit without a fee, so confirm any charge on 503-557-6363 or through the Metro line on 503-234-3000.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Happy Valley.

How much does TV removal cost in Happy Valley?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Happy Valley?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go in Happy Valley?

To an Oregon E-Cycles collection site, where up to seven qualifying items at a time are recycled free, including computers, monitors, televisions, printers, keyboards and mice. Electronics should not go in the garbage or the recycling bin, and the county's recycling office can help find a site on 503-557-6363.Official guidance

Who runs garbage collection in Happy Valley?

Clackamas County sets the fees and service standards and licenses the franchised companies, and the household chooses one of them, because the county states that its Sustainability and Solid Waste program covers unincorporated Clackamas County plus Happy Valley and Barlow. The county publishes the company list and an address lookup, and its solid waste office is at 150 Beavercreek Road Suite 225 on 503-557-6363, open Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Official guidance

Where can I take things the curbside service will not take?

To the county or Metro sites. Clackamas County Transfer Station in Sandy, the Metro South Transfer Station in Oregon City and the North Marion station in Woodburn take self-haul loads, the Metro South Household Hazardous Waste Facility on the Oregon City site takes hazardous products up to 35 gallons, Oregon E-Cycles sites take up to seven qualifying electronics at a time free, and yard debris goes to one of the listed landscape and yard waste facilities. The county asks residents to call each site first to confirm hours and accepted material.Official guidance
