Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Remodeling, construction and demolition material

Accepted with preparation

A project load has two published routes: a temporary clean-up container or drop box from a franchised hauler at the city's adopted rate, or a self-hauled load at Metro Central, where garbage and clean wood are charged by weight at different rates.

City cost & eligibility
From $129 for for a three yard temporary clean-up container from a franchised hauler, which includes delivery and one pickup, with larger containers priced higher and drop boxes priced separately. Hillsboro residents and businesses using a franchised hauler under the adopted rate schedule. Container sizes and availability vary by hauler, the container has to be filled within seven days, and Metro charges a self-hauled load separately by weight.
When & how
Call a franchised hauler to place a temporary clean-up container or drop box, or load the material and take it to Metro Central during public hours. A container needs a pull at least every thirty days to avoid the automatic charge.
Get it ready
Separate clean wood from other debris before a Metro trip, because raw dimensional lumber, pallets and packing crates free of paint, stain and hardware are charged at the lower clean wood rate while engineered wood, plywood, particle board and paneling are charged as garbage. Cover the load or pay the uncovered load rate, and keep asbestos, roofing, liquids and burned material out of it entirely.

What a Metro load needs before the scale

At a Metro transfer station the minimum fee covers a load up to 240 pounds, heavier loads are charged by the ton plus a transaction fee, and an uncovered load pays an additional per ton charge. Sort recyclables out for a rebate, declare mattresses and metal appliances so they land on the free lines, and keep vehicles, asbestos, roofing, liquids, burned material and electric vehicle batteries out of the load entirely.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-hauling from Hillsboro means driving to Metro. The Metro Central transfer station at 6161 NW 61st Avenue in Portland is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and charges garbage by the ton with a minimum for a small load, clean untreated wood at a lower rate and clean yard debris lower again, while mattresses and box springs up to four a day, metal appliances, Oregon E-Cycles electronics up to seven items a day and recyclables cost nothing. Coolant appliances are charged per unit and tires per tire, with a fifteen tire daily limit. The household hazardous waste facility at the same site takes paint, solvents, cleaners, pesticides, batteries and sharps free from households on a Monday through Saturday schedule with a daily volume limit, and Metro South in Oregon City runs the same two services every day. Before the trip, cover the load to avoid the additional per ton charge and separate recyclables for a rebate, and leave vehicles, asbestos, roofing, liquids and burned material at home because they are refused. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Hillsboro.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Hillsboro?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Hillsboro?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does a remodel load go in Hillsboro?

Either into a temporary clean-up container or drop box from a franchised hauler at the city's adopted rates, or into a self-hauled load at Metro Central, where garbage is charged at the higher rate and clean, untreated wood at a lower one. Metro does not accept asbestos-containing material, flat or built-up roofing, or burned material.Official guidance

What are the routes for a large item?

The city lists four: donate the item, pass it on through a reuse site, look it up with Washington County's What to Recycle and Where tool where fees may apply, or call the franchised hauler, whose oversized item prices are in the city's adopted rate sheet. Metro Central is the fifth route when a household would rather drive it, and there the mattress and electronics lines are free.Official guidance
