We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Accepted with preparation

Construction debris is accepted at the transfer station, with a volume cap. Negus takes up to ten cubic yards of construction debris at the household garbage rate, and larger amounts go to Knott Landfill. Clean fill is cheaper: asphalt, concrete, rocks, dirt, brick and ceramic with no vegetation, roots or garbage are charged by the cubic yard, with limits on size and protruding rebar.

City cost & eligibility
From $30 per load at the Negus Transfer Station in Redmond, where household garbage and construction debris are charged at a minimum for the first 500 pounds plus five dollars for each additional 100 pounds, while clean fill such as concrete, asphalt, dirt, brick and ceramic is charged at seven dollars per cubic yard. Negus accepts up to ten cubic yards of construction debris per load and larger volumes go to Knott Landfill; clean fill has to be free of vegetation, roots and garbage.
When & how
Take the material to the Negus Transfer Station, Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and keep the construction and clean fill portions separate so each is charged correctly.
Get it ready
Keep clean fill free of vegetation, roots and garbage, keep pieces under the maximum dimension with rebar protruding no more than twelve inches, keep treated wood, plywood, OSB and other engineered wood out of the wood waste pile because those are refused there, and keep asbestos and contaminated soil out entirely because they need a special waste application.

How a transfer station load is priced

Household garbage and construction debris carry a minimum charge for the first 500 pounds and five dollars for each additional 100 pounds, with Negus capping construction debris at ten cubic yards per load and sending larger volumes to Knott Landfill. Yard debris, wood waste and clean fill run seven dollars a cubic yard, appliances eight dollars each or twenty with refrigerant, and tires four dollars each or six on a rim. A properly covered and secured load earns a ten dollar rebate.

What the Redmond yard will not take

The rural transfer stations refuse hazardous material, manure, ashes, asbestos, contaminated soil and any large or heavy item that might damage the transfer trailers, as judged by the attendant on duty. Asbestos and contaminated soil need an approved special waste application and are handled only at Knott Landfill. Household chemicals therefore wait for a Friday or Saturday at the hazardous waste facility, while paint up to ten containers, motor oil, batteries, bulbs and sharps all have their own free drop-offs.

Deschutes County Solid Waste with Republic Services (formerly High Country Disposal)

Haul the load to the Negus Transfer Station

A Redmond household with furniture, appliances, tires, construction debris or a mixed load that will not fit the cart.

Cost & conditions
Prices depend on what the load contains: household garbage and construction debris run from a minimum for the first 500 pounds plus five dollars per additional 100 pounds, clean fill, yard debris and wood waste are seven dollars to a cubic yard, appliances are eight dollars or twenty with refrigerant, and tires are four dollars or six on a rim. Weigh in at the gate for the exact figure.
Arrange it
Take the material to 2400 NE Maple Avenue in Redmond, open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday, and use the recycling center on site for anything free rather than paying the garbage rate.

Construction debris is capped at ten cubic yards per load, freon appliances at four per customer per day, tires at twelve per day, and hazardous material, manure, ashes, asbestos, contaminated soil and oversized heavy items are refused.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Redmond has a county transfer station inside the city, so self haul starts at the Negus Transfer Station and Recycling Center on NE Maple Avenue, open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday. Household garbage and construction debris are charged by weight from a minimum for the first 500 pounds, construction loads are capped at ten cubic yards, clean fill such as concrete, asphalt, dirt, rock, brick and ceramic costs less by the cubic yard, and appliances, freon appliances and tires are priced per item with daily limits. The recycling center on the same site is free for glass, scrap metal, motor oil, bulbs, sharps and the county's electronics list of monitors, CPUs, televisions, printers, keyboards, mice, receivers, routers and converter boxes. Mattresses have their own free route at Deschutes Recycling at Knott Landfill in Bend, which takes up to four a day seven days a week under Oregon's statewide programme, along with paint up to ten containers, motor oil, propane tanks and batteries, while appliances, yard debris, wood waste, shredding and tires there carry published fees. Household chemicals never go to either yard, because rural sites refuse hazardous waste; they go instead to the free hazardous waste facility at Knott Landfill on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and prescription medicines go to a pharmacy, hospital or law enforcement drop-off. The licensed hauler for the Redmond area, Republic Services on the former High Country Disposal line, can also quote a bulk pickup if a household cannot move the load. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Redmond.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Redmond?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Redmond?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Can I take construction debris to the Negus transfer station?

Yes, up to ten cubic yards per load, charged at the household garbage rate by weight. Larger amounts go to Knott Landfill, and clean fill such as concrete, asphalt, rocks, dirt or brick is charged at a lower cubic yard rate as long as it has no vegetation, roots or garbage and the pieces stay within the size limits.Official guidance

What are the Negus transfer station hours?

The Negus Transfer Station and Recycling Center at 2400 NE Maple Avenue in Redmond is open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday, on 541-548-7232. Knott Landfill in Bend runs seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the hazardous waste facility there is open Fridays and Saturdays only.Official guidance

How do I get the ten dollar rebate at the transfer station?

Bring the load covered and secured with a tarp, net or straps, as County Ordinance 13.36.040 requires. The rebate is given for loads that are properly secured and the county promotes it as a way to keep debris off the roads and protect other drivers.Official guidance
