Flattened empty cardboard boxes tied into a bundle

One less thing to work around

Unpacked. Settled in. Still surrounded by boxes?

The new furniture is in place. The deliveries are opened. Choose the cardboard you have and get the space back, without turning a stack of boxes into a guessing game.

Pick the right unit.

A loose box, a ten-box bundle and a compacted bale have separate prices.

Choose with confidence

Boxes, bundles and bales are three different things.

A bundle is ten flattened boxes. A bale is mechanically compacted cardboard, securely strapped together and staged at an accessible loading dock.

Loose empty boxes.

Count each empty box as one item. Remove contents, plastic packing and foam. This choice is for the cardboard box itself.

Bundles of 10.

Flatten ten empty boxes and tie them into one bundle. Twenty-three boxes? Choose two ten-box bundles and three loose boxes. Count each box once.

Compacted bales.

Choose small for 50–150 lb, medium for 151–300 lb or large for 301–500 lb. Every bale must be securely bound and accessible from a loading dock. Unknown weight, no dock or over 500 lb? Ask our team first.

A little prep. A simpler pickup.

Choose your items now, then get them ready for your selected pickup day.

A tied stack of flattened boxes is a bundle, not a bale. Do not choose a bale based only on how large it looks.

Your place. One easy pickup plan.

A house, a condo or an apartment. Choose an accessible outdoor spot that works for your property. You arrange the move outside; we take it from there.

Text us about your setup
  1. Empty and separate.

Remove the contents and packing material. Set aside filled household boxes and add them as separate items if they are also going.

  2. Count boxes or confirm bale weight.

Tie each ten-box bundle together. For compacted bales, use the actual weight to choose the correct option.

  3. Prepare the right access.

Loose boxes and bundles need an accessible outdoor spot. Bales need a loading dock; keep them securely bound and tell us about dock access before pickup.

Cardboard

Accepted with preparation

Flattened cardboard goes in the blue recycling cart each week, and bulky amounts get a free special Wednesday pickup booked online.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Regular flattened cardboard is part of the weekly mixed recycling collection, and the special Wednesday pickup for excessive or bulky cardboard is free to township residents when it is scheduled in advance through OpenGov.
When & how
Put the blue cart out on the weekly recycling day, or submit a cardboard request by noon on a Tuesday for the Wednesday pickup and set the cardboard at the curb on Tuesday evening.
Get it ready
Flatten all cardboard and do not cut it into small pieces, put the flattened cardboard inside one intact box for the Wednesday pickup, and keep recycling inside the blue cart with the lid closed, because a cart that is overloaded or has protruding contents is a violation and the collection is skipped.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Cart placement and the one day set out window

Carts go to the curb the night before the collection day, at least one foot apart and three feet from obstructions such as poles, mailboxes and cars. Nothing goes out more than one day in advance, carts come back in the same day as collection, and everything has to be inside the cart with the lid closed, because an overloaded cart or one with protruding contents is a violation and the collection is skipped.

Arrange it
Submit the cardboard request form through OpenGov by noon on the Tuesday before, flatten the cardboard inside one intact box and set it at the curb on Tuesday evening.

The pickup runs on a Wednesday with a different truck and process from the weekly recycling, late requests move to the following Wednesday, and cardboard cut into small pieces is not accepted.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Upper Dublin is a township program rather than a shared-county route: bulk trash, additional trash and bulky cardboard all run through the township OpenGov portal, and a request has to be in by noon on a Tuesday for the following Wednesday collection. Bulk items are charged individually by tier, with furniture and most household items in the lowest tier, an item holding a fuel tank above that and an item holding Freon highest. Televisions and other electronics are refused in bulk trash and go free to one of the Goodwill e-waste sites in East Norriton, Montgomeryville or Warminster. Yard waste rides the green cart once a week from March to November, with free extra collections booked by phone, and flattening cardboard into the blue recycling cart or booking the free Wednesday pickup handles cardboard. How much does cardboard pickup cost?

One empty box is $59 first and $5 additional. A bundle of 10 flattened boxes is $79 first and $20 additional. Small, medium and large compacted bales have separate weight-based choices shown above.

Small is 50–150 lb, medium is 151–300 lb and large is 301–500 lb. Each bale must stay securely bound and be ready at an accessible loading dock. Contact our team about unknown weights, larger bales or a location without dock access.

Can I put cardboard in my regular recycling instead?

Check your local provider’s cardboard rules, including flattening, container limits and collection days. EPA recommends keeping paper products clean and dry. Dropcurb provides a separately booked pickup; a specific recycling facility or recycling outcome is not guaranteed by this booking.

Can I arrange same-day pickup?

Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Checkout shows the available dates for your address. Your booking is for a pickup day, rather than an exact arrival window. We send updates and photos after collection.

Where should I put my items?

Use an accessible outdoor spot you are allowed to use, and follow the instructions in your confirmation. Keep sidewalks, entrances and vehicle access clear. You arrange any indoor carrying. For a loading dock or a short building access window, confirm the setup with our team before booking.
