City cost & eligibility
No charge. Mattresses and box springs are on the accepted list at the Warwick Municipal Recycling Drop-Off Facility at 111 Range Road for residents bringing recyclables during open hours. They are not eligible for the curbside bulky appointment.
When & how
Facility open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday from April to December, with Saturdays closed from January to March.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and bring it directly to the drop-off facility. Do not set it out for the bulky truck, because mattresses are not collected that way.
Keep household trash out of the recycling drop-off
The Recycling Drop-Off Facility on Range Road accepts recyclables and bulky recyclable items only, and no trash of any kind is allowed. Bring mattresses, scrap metal, electronics, appliances and tires there rather than putting them out for the curbside truck.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Warwick's self-haul route is the Municipal Recycling Drop-Off Facility at 111 Range Road behind the Mickey Stevens Sports Complex. It takes mattresses, scrap metal including bicycles, electronics, appliances, tires and textiles, but no household trash at all, and it closes on Saturdays from January through March. Yard waste stays on the curbside route, and hazardous waste goes to the state Eco-Depot in Johnston by appointment rather than to the city facility. You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed.
