Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction material is the sharpest boundary in Charleston. The trash route takes miscellaneous materials that may include personal construction materials, wood or metal scrap, but the city's FAQ puts construction and renovation debris, concrete, dirt, sod, sand, plaster and carpet on the unacceptable list for single-family collection, refuses refuse, bricks, lumber, mortar, plaster, roofing and guttering generated by a hired contractor or builder outright, and the brochure refuses construction material over roughly 90 gallons.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no per-item construction rate, the county publishes no per-item charge for a resident at a convenience center, and the landfill scale charges $100 per ton for municipal solid waste and $150 per ton for tires, so confirm the route and the cost before a load is built.
When & how
Small personal amounts can go out with the separated trash on the collection day, and anything larger or in a refused category goes to a county convenience center during staffed hours.
Get it ready
Keep the load small, separated and clear of obstructions, and cut wood or lumber under four feet. Concrete, dirt, sod, sand, plaster and carpet are refused at the curb, material from a hired contractor or builder is not collected at all and is the contractor's or the owner's to remove, and the county zone that takes construction debris refuses bricks, cement, stucco and shingles.
Hazardous waste including paint, auto fluids, batteries and pool chemicals, along with concrete, dirt, sod, sand, plaster, carpet, construction and renovation debris, tires and hot ashes, are not single-family curbside waste. Electronics are refused separately, and paint cans are taken only when the paint is completely dry in the can, so those loads go to a Charleston County convenience center instead.

Charleston County residents only, a maximum of four tires with rims removed and no commercial tires, electronics limited to household computers, monitors, printers and televisions, Signal Point Road takes no household garbage, yard waste, construction debris, scrap metal, appliances or propane tanks, and the construction zone refuses bricks, cement, shingles and stucco.
Most self-haul loads from Charleston go to a Charleston County convenience center, where staffed sites take, from county residents, household garbage, recyclables, household computers, monitors, printers and televisions, paint, batteries, light bulbs, motor oil and cooking oil, scrap metal and appliances such as refrigerators, up to four tires with rims removed, construction and demolition debris with furniture, carpet, mattresses, sheetrock and wood under four feet, and household hazardous material, with used gasoline only at the Bees Ferry center. The county's own zone rules refuse bricks, cement, stucco, shingles, tires inside the construction zone, boats, cars and hazardous waste there, and the Signal Point Road site is not full service. Behind the centers is the Bees Ferry Road Landfill at the same address, where the scale charges municipal solid waste by the ton and tires by the ton and refuses construction and demolition waste from private or commercial haulers, and yard waste goes to the compost facility next door. The city route stays the cheaper option for a couch, a mattress, a refrigerator or a pile of household junk, because those ride the regular trash collection day. The construction and demolition zone takes sheetrock and drywall, carpet, insulation, wood and lumber under four feet, non-recyclable plastic, furniture and mattresses.
Shingles, bricks, cement, stucco, boats, cars, gasoline, tires, plastic bags, household garbage, animal carcasses, empty gas containers, fireworks, flammable items and household hazardous waste are refused in that zone, and it is not available at the Signal Point Road location.
Monday to Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. as published in the county listing, which also prints a Sunday line and a closed Sunday note that contradict each other, so confirm the weekend position on 843-720-7111 before a trip.
No charge. The county publishes no per-item charge for a resident dropping construction and demolition debris at a staffed convenience center.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Charleston?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.
Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?+

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?+

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?+
Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Who collects garbage and trash in Charleston?+
The City of Charleston Environmental Services Division runs curbside garbage once a week, trash and yard waste once a week on a separate pile, and the bulk and white goods stream on the regularly scheduled trash collection day. The county does not collect garbage at all: it runs the landfill, the convenience centers and the hazardous waste programme.
