Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Special rules apply

Small amounts of construction debris are collected, but they share the furniture pile and are capped at 90 gallons per pickup. Concrete has its own small allowance of one cubic foot, and material from contractors, landscapers and businesses is refused.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. City of North Charleston residential addresses, for household sized amounts within the 90 gallon limit on building material and the one cubic foot concrete allowance. Work generated by a contractor, landscaper or business is not eligible.
When & how
Put the material out no earlier than 48 hours before the scheduled collection day, in its own pile with the furniture category, and keep concrete separate because it has its own allowance.
Get it ready
Keep the load inside the published limits, because a larger renovation is not a residential collection, and separate every category, because a mixed pile is refused. Contractors and businesses have to arrange their own disposal.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Separate the piles or they will not be collected

Bulk trash has to be placed at the kerb in separate piles by category: white goods and metal, furniture and building material, yard debris, leaves and grass, and concrete. The city states plainly that mixed piles cannot be collected, and a pile set out earlier than 48 hours before the collection day is not part of the regular service.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

North Charleston keeps self haul inside the county rather than at a city yard: the city publishes no drop-off centre of its own, and its Sanitation Division page states that services it no longer handles, including e-waste such as televisions and computers, are provided by Charleston County Environmental Management, with a Dorchester County link for residents in that direction. The city's own programme is the kerbside one, and it works only when the load is sorted into white goods and metal, furniture and building material, yard debris, leaves and grass, and concrete. Mixed piles are refused, contractors and businesses are excluded, building material is capped at 90 gallons and concrete at one cubic foot per pickup, and everything except the roll cart has to be out no earlier than 48 hours before the scheduled collection day. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in North Charleston.

How much does construction debris removal cost in North Charleston?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in North Charleston?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How much construction debris will North Charleston collect?

Small amounts only. Building material shares the furniture pile and is capped at 90 gallons per pickup, and concrete is capped at one cubic foot per pickup. Anything generated by a contractor, landscaper or business is refused, so a renovation needs a private container.Official guidance

Who collects trash in North Charleston?

The city's Sanitation Division collects garbage and trash from residential addresses inside the city limits on a weekly schedule, and it does not collect from commercial or industrial establishments. Service requests, complaints and help for physically disadvantaged residents go through Public Works on 843-745-1026.Official guidance

Can a business use the North Charleston collection?

No. The city does not pick up garbage from commercial or industrial establishments and requires non residential properties to provide for their own disposal, and the bulk rules also refuse trash generated by contractors, landscapers, businesses or other non residential sources.Official guidance

When is recycling collected in North Charleston?

It depends on which county the address sits in, because the city splits the programme. The Sanitation Division states that recycling is collected the same day as garbage and yard waste, while the recycling page says Charleston County runs the curbside recyclables collection on its own schedule in the parts of the city that lie in Charleston County, and that Dorchester County provides convenience sites such as Oakbrook on Old Fort Drive. Cart material goes out before 7 a.m. and no more than twelve hours early, and yard waste has to be in paper bags.Official guidance
