Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

The city does not collect electronic waste and names Spartanburg County Solid Waste at 864-949-0211 as the route, while the county fee schedule lists electronic recycling as a per ton tipping rate rather than a household price, so confirm the accepted device and the household charge before the trip.

Get it ready
Back up or erase personal data before handover, keep electronics out of the gray roll cart and the blue recycling cart, and remove and separately handle any battery.
Garbage goes bagged inside the gray roll cart with the lid closed, recyclables go loose in the blue cart and are never bagged, carts are at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on the collection day with 3 feet of clearance from cars, mailboxes and other objects, and paint and liquids, televisions, electronics, tires and yard trimmings stay out of the carts.

The landfill is open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the recycling collection centers from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday except Station 16 in Wellford, which closes at 4:30 p.m., and every site is closed for New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.
