A powered base is different
If a motor raises the head or foot, choose an adjustable bed base and its size in booking. It is separate from an outer frame and mattress. A medical bed is also a different catalog item.
Just the headboard or rails?
Choose the separate headboard / footboard or side-rails item when only that part is leaving. For a complete frame, choose the matching frame instead of adding its pieces individually. Send a photo if you’re unsure which option fits.

Municipal rules depend on the material and address
Check your local sanitation instructions before putting a frame out. For example, NYC directs mostly metal or plastic frames to recycling collection and wood frames to trash, with separate preparation rules for loose parts. Those NYC rules do not apply nationwide.
A usable frame may have another home
If you want to donate the frame, confirm that the recipient accepts its condition, construction and available parts before arranging pickup. Habitat ReStore acceptance varies by location. For any option, settle who will carry the frame out and whether disassembly is included.

Will Dropcurb take my bed apart or carry it downstairs?+
Dropcurb starts outside. Arrange any disassembly and indoor carrying needed to get your frame to an accessible outdoor spot. We load it and take it away from there. Contact us before booking if a powered base, wall attachment or unusual construction makes preparation unclear.
Can you pick up metal, wooden and platform bed frames?+
The standard frame choice covers regular metal, wood and platform bed frames. Choose the bulky option for substantial construction or the drawer-frame option for built-in storage. Add the mattress and box spring separately if those are leaving.
Is an adjustable bed base the same as a bed frame?+
A powered adjustable base that raises the head or foot has its own size-based catalog choice. Select it separately from an outer bed frame and mattress. If you have more than one powered unit or are unsure about the configuration, send a photo before booking so we can confirm the items.
Do I add the headboard and rails separately?+
For a complete frame, choose its matching frame option. The standalone headboard / footboard and side-rails choices are for parts being removed without the complete frame. A mattress, box spring and adjustable base remain separate items.

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, using the dates shown at checkout. Have the frame outside and ready as described in your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and send photos after collection.
Can I leave a bed frame out for city pickup?+
Check the sanitation rules for your exact address first. Eligibility, collection days and preparation can depend on the material and local program. A rule for a metal frame may differ from one for a wooden frame, mattress or box spring. Do not assume the entire bed follows one rule.
Will the delivery team take my old bed frame?+
Ask your retailer before delivery. Confirm whether its removal service includes the frame, a mattress only or other bed parts, and whether disassembly and carrying are included. If you book Dropcurb separately, arrange for the frame to be outside on the selected pickup day.
