Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Not on the regular city route

Dirt, shingles, concrete, bricks, tile, asphalt and gravel are refused by name, with no city construction route.

City cost & eligibility
The city lists dirt, shingles, concrete, bricks or concrete blocks, tile, asphalt and gravel among the items the Solid Waste Division will not collect, and it publishes no construction collection or rate, so a project load moves through a private hauler or container company.
When & how
Arrange a private hauler or container before the work starts, and keep the material off the curb in the meantime.
Get it ready
Keep dirt, shingles, concrete, bricks, tile, asphalt and gravel out of the bulk and yard piles, and keep household hazardous waste on the Shelby County route instead.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Over-limit debris has three options and the city charges per truckload

A resident who exceeds the weekly allowance is notified and has five business days to remove the excess, either by hiring a contractor, by taking it to the Solid Waste Complex at 5250 Shelter Run Lane with proof of residency and a scheduled drop-off, or by asking the city for a special collection, which the city prices at 400 dollars per truckload plus fees. A contractor hired to trim or landscape is responsible for the debris they generate beyond the allowance.

Refused items and hazardous products have their own destinations

The Solid Waste Division does not collect dirt, shingles, concrete, bricks or concrete blocks, tile, asphalt or gravel, and household hazardous waste is refused as well. Gasoline, liquid paint, pool chlorine, batteries, motor oil, antifreeze, pesticides and transmission fluid must never go in the cart and go to the Memphis and Shelby County facility at 6305 Haley Road, while the three recycling centres take only the listed single stream materials.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Bartlett collects yard waste and mulchable material weekly from each residence up to twelve cubic yards, with the pile behind the curb by 7 a.m. on the collection day, separate from other debris, within ten feet of the pavement and clear of driveways, hydrants, utility lines and mailboxes, and no single piece longer than eight feet or greater than two feet in diameter. Bulky items too large for the wheeled garbage carts, such as boxes, furniture, drained mowers and toys, are collected as well, while tires stay separate with a four per household weekly limit. Over-limit debris can go to the Solid Waste Complex at 5250 Shelter Run Lane by appointment, be removed by a contractor, or be collected by the city at 400 dollars per truckload plus fees. Recycling runs through three single stream drop-off centres, a 95 gallon yard waste cart can be bought for 75 dollars, household hazardous waste goes free to the Memphis and Shelby County facility at 6305 Haley Road on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and dirt, shingles, concrete, bricks, tile, asphalt and gravel are not collected at all. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Bartlett.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Bartlett?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Bartlett?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Will Bartlett take construction debris?

No. The city lists dirt, shingles, concrete, bricks or concrete blocks, tile, asphalt and gravel among the items the Solid Waste Division will not collect, and it publishes no construction route or rate. A project load goes with a private hauler or container company, while household hazardous waste goes to the Shelby County facility.Official guidance
