Tires

Not on the regular city route

Tires are excluded from the city bulk route and from the loaned dump truck, and Bradley County recycles tires for a fee at the county landfill.

City cost & eligibility
The county states that tires are recycled for a fee but publishes no amount. Confirm the fee, the count and the receiving hours before you load.
When & how
Take the tires to the Bradley County Landfill at 282 Nature's Trail in McDonald during its published hours, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep tires off the city pile and out of the loaned dump truck, count the load first, and ask whether the county wants rims removed before you arrive.

City of Cleveland Public Works and Bradley County

Self-haul to the Bradley County Landfill

Households with white goods, batteries, used oil or tires, or with recyclables that the county yard takes.

Cost & conditions
The county states that batteries, used oil, white goods and tires are recycled for a fee but publishes no amount. Confirm the fee and the hours before the trip.
Arrange it
Drive to 282 Nature's Trail in McDonald, open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The county recycling yards no longer accept electronics, and the landfill takes recyclables plus the fee items listed above rather than household garbage.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Two systems cover this address. Inside the city, Public Works runs the weekly bulk, brush and yard-waste routes, and it loans a dump truck once a month for regular junk, free of charge and unavailable in November and December; demolition debris, hazardous material, tires, block, concrete, dirt and shingles stay out of both. Outside that route, Bradley County recycles white goods, batteries, used oil and tires for a fee at the landfill on Nature's Trail in McDonald, and runs two recycling yards in Cleveland for glass, paper, cans and plastics. Household garbage is a separate contracted service through Waste Connections rather than a city route, and the county facilities no longer accept electronics. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Tire disposal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Cleveland.

How much does tire disposal cost?

A non-commercial car or pickup-truck tire is $99 first and $20 additional. A commercial automotive tire up to 120 lb is $125 first and $55 additional. Count each tire separately.

How do I book a set of four tires?

Choose the matching tire type and set the quantity to four. The first tire uses the first-item price and the remaining three use the additional-item price. Review your total before payment.

Do you take tires still mounted on rims?

Text our team a photo before booking so we can confirm the scope and price for your setup.

Can my tire shop take the old tires?

Ask the tire retailer or your local waste authority about their collection options and requirements. If the tires are already at home, Dropcurb offers a separately booked outdoor pickup for the listed tire types.

Can I arrange same-day pickup?

Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Checkout shows the available dates for your address. Your booking is for a pickup day, rather than an exact arrival window. We send updates and photos after collection.

Where should I put my items?

Use an accessible outdoor spot you are allowed to use, and follow the instructions in your confirmation. Keep sidewalks, entrances and vehicle access clear. You arrange any indoor carrying. For a loading dock or a short building access window, confirm the setup with our team before booking.

Can tires go out with the Cleveland bulk pile?

No. The city excludes tires from the curbside route and from the loaned dump truck, and says non-compliance may end your use of the truck. Bradley County recycles tires for a fee at its landfill.Official guidance
