Choose the right items

One computer setup can be several items.

A separate monitor and tower count separately. Small devices and cables have their own box option. Choose what is actually leaving so your price matches the pickup.

Monitor, desktop or laptop.

Choose Computer monitor for each separate display. Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. A laptop is its own item. Add only the devices going.

Printer or office copier.

A printer with a built-in scanner belongs under Printer. A floor-standing copy machine belongs under Office copier. The shape matters more than the brand.

A box of smaller electronics.

Use Box of electronics for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. For a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries, send a photo and confirm the fit before booking.

Televisions and electronics

Special rules apply

Electronic waste is not collected with regular bulk trash. Bedford routes televisions, computers, printers and other electronics to the Keep Bedford Beautiful Chunk Your Junk and Crud Cruiser events, where DFW Reclaimers takes the material.

City cost & eligibility
There is no curbside electronics fee because electronics are not collected with bulk trash. The Chunk Your Junk event accepts electronic waste at no charge with proof of Bedford residency, while the monthly free landfill day charges $25 for each e-waste item such as a television, computer, printer or DVD player, so confirm the route before loading.
When & how
Take electronics to a Keep Bedford Beautiful Chunk Your Junk or Crud Cruiser event. The 2026 Chunk Your Junk event runs Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Meadow Park Athletic Complex, 3200 Meadow Park Drive.
Get it ready
Remove personal data before the device leaves the house, keep electronics out of the recycling cart and the bulk pile, and bring proof of residency such as a recent water bill or driver license to the event.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Hazardous, electronic and construction material stays off the curb

Paint, chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, tires and electronic waste are not collected with regular bulk trash, and concrete is refused because it cannot be compacted. Electronics go to a Keep Bedford Beautiful event, household hazardous waste goes to the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center, and construction material needs a private container or hauling service.

Holiday weeks shift the route

On the 2026 holiday schedule, Thanksgiving moves Thursday service to Friday and Friday service to Saturday, while Christmas and New Year's Day move Friday customers to the following Saturday. Monday through Thursday service runs as usual on the Christmas and New Year's weeks.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Bedford's self-haul routes run through the Keep Bedford Beautiful event calendar and the free landfill days rather than a city transfer station. Free landfill days fall on the fourth Saturday of the month from February through November in 2026, with no free day in January or December, at the Arlington Landfill, 800 Mosier Valley Road in Euless, open to residents from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and no-charge access is limited to individual homeowners with a Texas driver license and water bill showing the same address and waste delivered in a car, a pickup or a trailer up to 8 feet long. Larger and commercial loads are charged, hazardous waste is not included, and each e-waste item costs $25. Household hazardous waste goes to the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center free with proof of residency, and electronics go to the Chunk Your Junk event, where DFW Reclaimers takes them. Tires have no city drop-off, so the City points residents to Time to Recycle for a location. 2026 free landfill day schedule and access rulesHousehold hazardous waste route and accepted materialChunk Your Junk event details and accepted materialBulk and brush pick-up rules
