Get it ready
Wipe the personal information off computers, phones and smart televisions before anything leaves the house, keep cables and remotes with the device, and never put electronics in the gray trash cart or the blue recycling cart.
Trash and recycling go to the curb before 7:00 a.m. on the weekly collection day, upright with the lids fully closed and the handles toward the house, at least three feet from each other and three feet from mailboxes, parked cars, fences, gas meters and drainage ditches. Household trash goes in bags inside the gray cart, recyclables go loose, clean and dry in the blue cart, and a cart over the arm's lifting limit or holding prohibited material is not serviced.
Single items weighing more than 150 pounds, commercial construction and remodeling debris, loose brush, loose construction and remodeling debris, loose household debris that is not boxed, additional trash bags, tires, batteries, propane tanks and household hazardous waste are all prohibited on the bulky collection. Household chemicals, tires and used electronics instead go to the X-treme Green Events the hauler runs three times a year, and a household that needs more than the standard allowance has to arrange a paid custom collection.
