Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Ready for pickup

Ready outside. Taken from there.

Your TV can stay inside while you book. Before pickup, arrange to have it disconnected, taken down if mounted and moved to an accessible outdoor spot.

A pickup day is not an exact arrival appointment. If your building allows only a short loading window, contact us before booking to confirm a workable plan.

Your place. One easy pickup plan.

A house, a condo or an apartment. Choose an accessible outdoor spot that works for your property. You arrange the move outside; we take it from there.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions and monitors

Accepted with preparation

Televisions are refused in the bulk pickup and go instead to the city's Household Chemical and Electronics Disposal and Reuse Center at 6616 Walnut Street, which is free for residents.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free for Frisco residents with a matching Frisco water bill and driver's licence, or a voucher, and free for apartment residents who bring a current rent statement with a matching licence, though apartment quantity restrictions are reduced by half. Televisions, monitors and CPUs are limited to two of each per day, and larger quantities count as commercial waste.
When & how
Visit the center at 6616 Walnut Street during the special household chemical and electronics hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from anything that powers on, carry the item so the screen cannot break, and keep electronics out of the trash cart and the bulk pile. Chemicals and electronics are only accepted during the special hours, and the city states that disposing of them outside those hours is illegal dumping.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Frisco keeps most large items on the city route: a monthly bulk pickup of up to five items, each one a single object that fits the trash truck and stays under six feet and fifty pounds, reserved on the online list before noon the business day before service. Metal is the exception, since it is a recyclable material, so appliances and other metal go through a scheduled fifteen dollar pickup or a free drop-off at the Environmental Collection Center on Walnut Street, which is also where chemicals and electronics are taken free during their special hours. Construction and remodeling waste has to use the city's franchise container account with its deposit, and tires and mattresses should be verified with Environmental Services before they are set out. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Frisco.

How much does TV removal cost in Frisco?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Frisco?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where can I take a television in Frisco?

To the Environmental Collection Center at 6616 Walnut Street during household chemical and electronics hours, which run Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The service is free for Frisco residents with a matching water bill and driver's licence, and televisions are limited to two per day.
