Collection runs twice a week, and most bulky household items can go out with the regular garbage as long as each piece stays under 50 pounds. Brush that will not fit in a container needs to be cut and bundled. Dropcurb serves all of Hurst and hauls residential items from your address.

Televisions are listed among the bulky items that can go out with the regular garbage, so an old set does not need a separate appointment as long as it stays under the weight limit.
The contract's Take All provision covers construction and fencing material the homeowner generates from repair and remodeling work, provided panel and picket material is cut and bundled as required.
Grass clippings, leaves and other yard debris must go in disposable containers at the curb. Brush that will not fit in a container has to be cut into short lengths, bundled and stacked with the larger ends toward the street.
The handoff matters
Everything goes to the curb on the house side and not in the gutter by 7:00 a.m. Republic Services has until 7:00 p.m. to arrive before a pick-up counts as missed. Nothing may be set out more than twelve hours before the collection day, and closed waterproof containers and metal cans should come back off the curb by 7:00 p.m. once collection is done.
Trash and RecyclingSanitation Service GuidelinesEach bulky item cannot exceed 50 pounds, and the combined weight of garbage and its container is capped at the same figure. Brush bundles follow the same limit. Anything heavier than 50 pounds needs a special pick-up arranged through Republic Services rather than a regular set-out.
Trash and RecyclingSanitation Service GuidelinesAny garbage or trash mixed with liquid must be drained before it goes in a container, and no container holding water or another liquid will be collected. Containers must be kept securely closed against scattering and animals, and paper grocery sacks are not allowed as containers.
Sanitation Service GuidelinesUse a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
