Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and renovation debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction debris is refused at the McAllen drop-off site, which the residential page explains was dropped because of the weight and the possibility of hazardous material, and it is not part of the curbside brush and bulky week either. The city sells roll-off containers for projects instead.

City cost & eligibility
From $20 per ton roll-off disposal rate, with an overweight disposal rate of $27.50 per ton above fourteen tons. Roll-off service is arranged with the city Public Works Department for new building, renovation, land clearing and demos, and the agreement has to be submitted at City Hall before service. The city publishes no container rental terms, so ask for them when the service is arranged.
When & how
Not on the curbside bulky week and not at the resident drop-off; a project load goes into a roll-off container arranged with the city.
Get it ready
Keep construction debris out of the bulky pile and out of both carts, separate anything reusable, and keep car tires, chemicals and hazardous waste out of the roll-off because the city refuses them there. The roll-off service agreement is completed and submitted at the Customer Relations Department inside City Hall.

City of McAllen Public Works, Solid Waste Department and Recycling Center

Order a roll-off container for a project

A household with a renovation, a demo, land clearing or a cleanout that produces more debris than the bulky week can take.

Cost & conditions
From $20 per ton roll-off disposal rate, with an overweight disposal rate of $27.50 per ton above fourteen tons. Roll-off service is arranged with the city Public Works Department and the service agreement is submitted at the Customer Relations Department inside City Hall. The city publishes no container rental terms, so ask for them when the service is arranged.
Arrange it
Contact Public Works, complete the roll-off service agreement, submit it at City Hall, and have the container delivered and collected around the project.

No car tires, chemicals or hazardous waste in the container, and construction debris is not accepted at the Recycling Center drop-off or in the curbside bulky week.

McAllen roll-off services

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-hauling in McAllen centres on the Recycling Center at 4101 N. Bentsen Road, which the city keeps as the alternative to driving to the landfill. City residents may use the bulky waste drop-off for furniture including sofas and mattresses, carpet, bulky toys, wood, tires limited to five a month, and appliances such as refrigerators, stoves and ovens, with a water bill as proof of address and a technician's tag on a refrigerator to confirm the refrigerant was removed. Electronic devices are taken there from residents and non-residents, and paper shredding is free. Construction debris is refused at the drop-off and in the curbside bulky week, so a project load goes into a city roll-off container instead, arranged through Public Works with the agreement submitted at City Hall. The curbside brush and bulky week still collects the same bulky material from the pile in the section's month, provided it sits at the assigned location with three feet of clearance and clear of mailboxes, hydrants and water meters. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in McAllen.

How much does construction debris removal cost in McAllen?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in McAllen?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does construction debris go in McAllen?

Not to the drop-off site, which stopped taking construction debris because of the weight and the possibility of hazardous material, and not into the curbside bulky week. The city sells roll-off container service for new building, renovation, land clearing and demos, arranged through Public Works with the service agreement submitted at City Hall, and no car tires, chemicals or hazardous waste may go into the container.Official guidance

How do I know when bulky pickup comes to my McAllen address?

The city publishes a 2026 brush and bulky schedule with the map split into four sections: North East in the first full week of the month, North West in the second, South West in the third and South East in the fourth. Items go out at the assigned location before the Monday of that week, and the schedule lists the dated week for every month of the year.Official guidance

What do I need to bring to the McAllen drop-off site?

A water bill, because the bulky waste drop-off at the Recycling Center on Bentsen Road is offered for residential use only. The site takes furniture including sofas and mattresses, carpet, bulky toys, wood, tires within the five a month resident limit and appliances, and it accepts electronic devices from residents and non-residents. Construction debris, clothes and hazardous waste are refused there.Official guidance
