Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Mesquite runs the whole system itself. Household trash is twice weekly in Dallas County and weekly in Kaufman County, with bagged trash of 13 to 32 gallons inside a lidded container of no more than 48 gallons and a total weight under 50 pounds, and the city code sets a narrow window of no earlier than 5:30 p.m. the day before and no later than 7:30 a.m. on the day of pickup. Large items and large brush go out weekly, Monday through Friday by area, at the front curb only, within eight cubic yards and no earlier than 24 hours before the collection. Appliances are named and collected every Wednesday at no extra charge when the request is made first on 972-216-6285. Televisions and computers go free to the city Convenience Center at 3550 Lawson Road, which is also where the Municipal Composting Facility takes the yard waste the city collects. Bigger loads run through Cost Plus at $200 or $400, or an open-top container from $196 delivery plus $363.77 haul and $37.84 per ton, and household chemicals go to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center at 11234 Plano Rd. in Dallas with a licence and a utility bill. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Mesquite.

How much does TV removal cost in Mesquite?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Mesquite?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do Mesquite televisions and computers go?

To the city Convenience Center at 3550 Lawson Road, free for Mesquite residents, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Wednesdays, Sundays and holidays. Goodwill's Reconnect programme also takes computer equipment free, and the city holds electronic recycling events in May and November on 972-329-8300.Official guidance

Which Mesquite services take my clean-out items?

Household appliances go on the Wednesday appliance collection at no extra charge, televisions and computers go free to the Convenience Center on Lawson Road, household chemicals go to the Dallas County center on Plano Road, and everything else large goes on the weekly bulky collection inside the eight cubic yard allowance. Bigger or construction loads run through Cost Plus or an open-top container.Official guidance
