Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Special rules apply

Debris from minor remodelling that the resident performed themselves is acceptable, while construction debris from a contractor is excluded and refused at the county centre as well.

City cost & eligibility
There is no published construction rate, the city ordinance puts contractor generated waste on the contractor, and the county do not bring list refuses construction debris, so a project load has to be confirmed with the hauler or handled privately.
When & how
Arrange the route before the work starts, because contractor waste is the contractor's responsibility by city ordinance and the weekly brush and bulky allowance is a residential service only.
Get it ready
Keep the resident produced minor remodelling debris within the weekly allowance, keep dirt, rock and concrete out of it because those are unacceptable, and keep the county load free of construction debris because that is on the do not bring list.
City brush and bulk collection page with the 2 cubic yard weekly allowance and the washer and dryer reference, the per yard additional service charge, the collection day and front set out rules with the 7 a.m. deadline, the special pickup phone number and email process, the monthly collection without call in, the brush and bulky waste definitions, the acceptable list with the refrigerator and freezer exclusion and the minor remodelling debris line, the unacceptable list with the county chemical referral, the residential only rule with the contractor ordinance, the two free CM Hinton Landfill trips and the landfill pass requirement, the holiday delay list and the exclusive Republic Services franchiseDallas County what to bring list covering household products, paint and home repair products, lawn and garden chemicals, aerosols, pool chemicals, craft supplies, cleaners, batteries, automotive fluids and oil filters, fluorescent tubes and computers, cell phones and small electronics, and the do not bring list covering business waste, containers over 5 gallons, tires, explosives, shock sensitive materials, smoke detectors, radioactive material, medical waste, trash, construction debris and televisions and large appliances, with the state environmental referral for other electronic waste

What the acceptable list covers, and its one appliance exception

The city's acceptable list covers all other major household appliances except refrigerator and freezer, furniture, microwaves and other small household appliances, hot water heaters, debris from minor remodelling performed by the resident, and fencing in 4 by 6 foot sections. Bulky waste is defined to include lamps, bicycles, large toys and swing sets, vacuum cleaners, aluminium and plastic resin lawn furniture and rolled carpeting. The unacceptable list covers dirt, rock and concrete, automobile parts, tires and batteries, liquids such as paint, motor oil and solvents, and other hazardous materials such as herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers and pool chemicals.

Two free debris trips a year at the county landfill

Rowlett residents may dispose of debris at no charge at the CM Hinton Landfill twice per calendar year, but they have to obtain a landfill pass from the City of Rowlett first. The pass route sits alongside the weekly brush and bulky collection rather than replacing it, and it is the city's second published option for a load that runs beyond what the curb allowance covers.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Rowlett has two published destinations. Household chemicals and small electronics go to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center at 11234 Plano Road in Dallas, which is free for Rowlett residents who bring a driver's licence and a water or other utility bill, and which is open Tuesdays from 9:00am to 7:30pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 5:00pm and the second and fourth Saturdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm on 214-553-1765. It takes paint and home repair products, garden chemicals, aerosols, pool chemicals, cleaners, batteries, automotive fluids, fluorescent tubes, computers, cell phones and small electronics, but refuses televisions, large appliances, tires, containers larger than 5 gallons, explosives, smoke detectors, medical waste, construction debris and business waste. Debris loads go to the CM Hinton Landfill, where Rowlett residents may dispose of debris at no charge twice per calendar year once they hold a landfill pass from the city. Everything else is designed for the curb: up to 2 cubic yards of brush and bulky material a week on the regular collection day, with a per cubic yard charge beyond that and an off cycle call in pickup available from Republic Services for an additional fee. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Rowlett.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Rowlett?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Rowlett?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Will Rowlett take construction debris?

Only partly. The acceptable list covers debris from minor remodelling performed by the resident, but the bulky waste definition excludes construction debris generated by a contractor, and the city ordinance says all waste created by contractors is disposed of by the contractors, including tree and landscape services. Dirt, rock and concrete are unacceptable on the weekly collection, and the Dallas County do not bring list refuses construction debris as well.Official guidance

What will Rowlett not take at the curb?

Dirt, rock and concrete, automobile parts, tires and batteries, liquids such as paint, motor oil and solvents, and other hazardous materials such as herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers and pool chemicals are all unacceptable. Construction debris from a contractor is excluded because city ordinance puts contractor waste on the contractor, and bulk and brush service is residential only. Hazardous material goes to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center instead, which is free for Rowlett residents.Official guidance
