Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Special rules apply

Sugar Land writes construction and demolition refuse out of the bulky programme by name, and no city page publishes a construction route or a price for it. A project load therefore has to be arranged through the hauler, a private container or a receiving site.

City cost & eligibility
The city defines bulky waste to exclude construction refuse and demolition refuse, and neither the bulky page nor the rate table publishes a construction rate. Call the city on 3-1-1 or Republic Services on 713-726-7307 to confirm what can be handled and at what price before the material leaves the site.
When & how
Do not put construction material out on the bulky day because it is excluded by the city's own definition, and arrange a container or a receiving site before the project produces debris.
Get it ready
Keep construction and demolition material out of the bulky pile, out of the garbage and recycling carts and away from the Recycle Round Up load, which refuses metal scraps and large items, and keep chemicals on the household hazardous waste route instead.
City solid waste and recycling page with the hauler and city contact numbers, the bulky waste definition naming stoves, refrigerators with freon removed and furniture and excluding construction, demolition, hazardous and electronic waste, the hazardous waste and electronics routing, the cart rules and the full January 2025 rate table including the additional bulk pickup pricesCity bulky waste page with the monthly Monday collection schedule, the three extra holiday collections at no additional cost, the fee based additional collections booked with Republic, the set out window and five cubic yard limit, the four foot clearance rule, the appliance and freon requirement and the free monthly Blue Ridge Landfill visit with its identification and safety gear rules

What bulky waste excludes

The city's definition is explicit: bulky waste does not include construction refuse, demolition refuse, hazardous waste or electronic waste. Chemicals are never collected with the residential service at all, because they can start fires or react inside the collection trucks, and the city warns that hazardous waste or electronics put out with bulky items will simply be left. Tires are refused at the city's own events and go to the Public Works Service Center instead.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Sugar Land has three self haul options that do not need an appointment. The Public Works Service Center at 101A Gillingham Lane takes passenger tires with the rims removed, up to four per delivery, and liquid cooking oil up to ten gallons a day, both free for residents between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. Blue Ridge Landfill at 2200 FM 521 Road in Fresno takes household solid waste on one free visit a month of up to three cubic yards, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m., with a driver's licence and a physical water bill required and a hard hat, safety vest and closed toed shoes enforced on site. Household chemicals and electronics are the exception: they are never collected with the residential service, so they go to the city's twice yearly Recycle Round Up at Mercer Stadium with identification and a utility bill, or to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center at 1200 Blume Road in Rosenberg, which lists its accepted material and charges applicable fees. Computers, monitors and their keyboards and mice also have free manufacturer collection under state law. Everything else, including furniture, appliances and bulky loads, waits for the monthly bulky day or is added as a paid extra collection through Republic Services, and construction and demolition refuse is excluded from that programme, so it needs a private container or receiving site. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Sugar Land.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Sugar Land?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Sugar Land?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Can construction debris go out with bulky waste in Sugar Land?

No. The city's bulky waste definition states that bulky waste does not include construction refuse or demolition refuse, and no construction rate or receiving site is published on the bulky page or in the rate table, so the load needs a private container, a hauler or another receiving site arranged in advance.Official guidance
