Keep contractor construction debris, concrete, brick, asphalt and roofing out of the curbside bulk set-out, because all are refused there. Cover the load for the landfill trip, because uncovered loads incur a fee.
Residents may place four cubic yards of bulk waste at the curb once a month with the waste and recycling carts, following the city's set-out week map. One cubic yard equals about two 96-gallon carts, or an item the size of a sofa, large chair or washing machine. Refused streams include appliances containing CFCs, batteries, motor oil and filters, tires, vehicles and parts, concrete, brick, asphalt and roofing, contractor construction debris, gasoline, items over 200 pounds and paint.
